The PAC-12 announced on Tuesday that it has concluded a long-term, secondary media rights agreement with the CW while preparing itself at a rebuilt conference with nine members in 2026.

This agreement is an extension of the previous deal, which started in 2024 and now until 2030-31 will run. The CW will broadcast 13 football matches, 35 basketball matches for men and 15 basketball games for women during the regular season. The network will also broadcast the semi -final and champion matches of the women’s basketball tournament.

Tuesday’s news comes on the heels of CBS who close a deal in June to become the primary media partner of PAC-12. The CBS deal also runs through the 2030-31 season.

The PAC-12 will expand from two schools (Oregon State and Washington State) to nine in 2026 with the additions of Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga (basketball), San Diego State, Texas State and Utah State. The new PAC-12 will include five former Mountain West members.

The media cooperation contexts with CBS and the CW are important developments for a conference that wants to cash in its position as one of the top five competitions in the FBS. The new agreements guarantee that the PAC-12 will reach 100% of American households via employment networks over the air. The PAC-12 is convinced that at least 17 football matches will be broadcast on national free air networks from 2026, just behind the four power conferences, including the 18 planned games of the ACC for 2024. Ninternal men’s basketball matches are broadcast on free-to-air networks, on the second place of Big-122.

“Our collaboration with the CW has been one of mutual growth and transformation, from the development of the temporary production company of our PAC-12 companies to the considerable added value and positive impact for our current and future members via real national reach about 100% of American television households,” said PAC-12 Commissioner Teresa Goul.

PAC-12 Enterprises, the broadcast production arm of the conference, will produce all 66 events on the CW.

The CW started to broadcast PAC-12 games with Washington State and Oregon State in 2024. In recent years, the network has leaned heavily in sports programming, with more than 40% of the programming hours of the network that now consists of sport. The CW reported the growth of the assessments in the past five quarters. Eleven football matches in which Washington State and Oregon State are involved, were on average 431,000 viewers on the CW last season.

“The PAC-12 has been an important partner in the success of CW Sports, and we are pleased to strengthen our relationship with the conference for another five years,” said CW President Brad Schwartz.

CBS and Paramount+ Announced in June, it will broadcast at least three football matches in the regular season and the PAC-12 Championship match every year from 2026. The agreement also contains at least three basketball games for regular season and the basketball championships of the conference. CBS Sports Network will broadcast a maximum of 10 football and 17 basketball matches for men.

The PAC-12 is looking for extra media partners prior to his relaunch in 2026.

Financial details of the media agreements of the PAC-12 with CBS and the CW have not been released.
