The Atlanta Braves will be confronted again tonight opposite the New York Mets and the focus will be on the attack. The Braves were able to manage five points last night, but will probably need it and more if they want to win this matchup.

Carlos Carrasco Has had a solid career with a great comeback story, but he is clearly towards the end of it. His underlying statistics show that he has had a bit of bad luck, but he still has an overwhelming 6.18 ERA and 5.28 FIP over 43.2 innings this season.

This probably means that the attack must produce at a high level for the Braves if they want to have a chance. They will be confronted with David Peterson, who has the best two season use of his career to prevent runs. Last season he had an ERA of 2.90 in 121.0 innings and this season has an ERA of 2.98 over 133.0 innings.

The Braves attack has not been terrible since the beginning of August. They are fourteenth in MLB in WRC+. This is clearly not ideal, but it is much better than some have expected. Part of this is due to Michael Harris make some adjustments and warm up, as well as Marcell Ozuna Apparently from his malaise breaking that he has had since he hurt his hip.

Speaking of ozuna, he leads all players on the active schedule with twenty abdominal muscles against Peterson. He only has one .200 average against him, but does have an OPS of .738 thanks to two solo HRs. Matt Olson Easily has the best record against him. In nineteen abdominal muscles he has four hours, twelve RBI, .263 on average and a 1,259 Ops. The only two other players with at least thirteen abdominal muscles against Peterson are Albies and Harris. In thirteen abdominal muscles, Harris struggled powerfully with a .077 average EN .231 Ops. Albies has not been much better with an average of .200 and .400 Ops in fifteen ABS.

Sean Murphy is back in the line -up, Eli White starts the start and Ozzie Albies will clean up. Yes, Ozzie Albies who has a .400 OPS against Peterson in fifteen barriers.

The Mets go with exactly the same line -up as yesterday. Although Carrasco has been in MLB since 2009, only three batters on the Mets have previously confronted him. Tyrone Taylor, who does not start tonight, Juan Soto and Cedric Mullins. Mullins struggled against him with a .222 average EN .444 Ops in nine abdominal muscles. Soto has ten ABS and has a .200 average, but a .833 Ops thanks to an HR.

First throw is at 7:10 AM EDT
