Osman Kamara comes to Blackburn Rovers from Arsenal

Osman Kamara says he was lured to Blackburn Rovers for the potential move into the first team, with the winger highlighting the club as one that gives youth a chance after leaving Arsenal during the winger’s spell.

The teenager leaves ARSENAL after more than a decade with the Gunners and will now embark on a journey in East Lancashire after signing a two-and-a-half year contract with the club as he looks to make it in the professional game.

The Londoner will initially join Gregory Vignal’s Under-21s, but he feels the carrot is there to break into the senior squad soon enough, and he is hopeful the opportunity can be earned by impressing in training.

“It feels great, great and I’m very happy to sign here,” the 19-year-old wideman told RoversTV. I can’t wait to work and train. This is a club that gives younger players the opportunity to get into the first team and I’m looking forward to keeping my head down and seeing if I can get some opportunities.

“As a 19-year-old I want to take that step into senior football and it’s a great opportunity for me to come here and show what I can do.

“I feel like the time is right to boost my career and get minutes in the senior game. My main reason for coming here is because this is a club that offers opportunities to young players.”

“That gives me a lot of motivation every day, knowing that I can come in and opportunities can arise.”

Kamara has made a huge decision by leaving Arsenal for Rovers, but it is one he will certainly love and hopefully he gets the first-team minutes he craves.
