In the early stages of the saga, Manchester City’s move for Antoine Semenyo was reportedly dependent on potential spending. Now it is believed that they are on the verge of finalizing the deal, and according to Fabrizio Romano, it looks like Oscar Bobb will be the sacrifice they will make to accommodate the Bournemouth winger.
A number of clubs have shown interest in the 22-year-old. Crystal Palace are interested, but at the moment Borussia Dortmund appear to be the favorites to land his signature, with a strong reputation for developing young English players – think Jadon Sancho, Jude Bellingham and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.
Bobb has not had much of a chance to establish himself as a starter under Pep Guardiola since recovering from a broken leg that hampered his 2024/25 season. This season he has been completely left out of the squad for four Premier League games, starting five and making four appearances off the bench. Although he is clearly talented, he has yet to score in any competition, with just one assist to his name.
🚨Understand that Oscar Bobb could leave Manchester City in January. If the deal with Semenyo is completed, Bobb will seriously consider his departure.
Several clubs have already approached Bobb in recent weeks, including Borussia Dortmund. 🟡⚫️
