Oscar and Emmy nominated actress Naomi Watts will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES — Oscar and Emmy nominated actress Naomi Watts is the latest star to be inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

She received her star on the Walk of Fame on Monday.

Watts’ career has spanned 25 years – from her breakthrough role in David Lynch’s LA cult classic ‘Mulholland Drive’ to her recent series of collaborations with writer-producer Ryan Murphy.

Along with Murphy, Watts was joined by her husband, Billy Crudup, plus current and former co-stars Jack Black, Kyle MacLachlan, Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash and more for her star ceremony.

Watts said the entire Walk of Fame experience was beyond her wildest dreams.

“I’m out of my body right now, but I do think I’ll look back on this moment later, even tonight, and feel tremendous pride and excitement. You know, there was all that involved, it’s just surreal at the same time. But yeah, a lot of hard work, and you know, resilience,” Watts said. “I almost quit many times. I just didn’t know what else to do or what I was qualified for, and I love acting. It’s a privilege to be able to tell stories.”

“You’ll never have more fun than making a movie with Naomi. She has the highest talent-to-lowest pretense ratio of anyone. She stills on the red carpet and sketches during rehearsals on set,” said fellow actor Edward Norton.

“A star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is one of the highest honors in our industry. It’s the Viagra of prizes. You’ll only receive this rare achievement if you stick with it,” Murphy said.

Next month, Watts will star in Murphy’s new all-star ensemble Hulu series “All’s Fair,” in which he plays a member of a group of female divorce attorneys who leave a male-dominated firm to open their own.
