Operation Sindoor has given a strong message about security: Amit Shah

Interior Minister Amit Shah said on Thursday (July 17, 2025) that India had sent an “unambiguous” message to the world that any attempt to harm his citizens would invite retribution of retribution. “The country, on the other hand, was confronted with terrorist attacks almost every day,” he said.

Fourth economy

Mr Shah said that the country had become the fourth largest economy under the leadership of the Lord Modi, while 22 Crore people were abolished above the poverty line. The vision of a ‘prosperous and secure nation’ was converted into a reality under the current dispensation, he added.

In the meantime, Veteran Congresseider and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot asked Mr Shah on Thursday to clarify why the trial in the murder case of Udaipur on tailor Kanhaiya Lal did not follow progress after the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had taken over the issue. Mr Lal had killed two clear-waving men in June 2022, when Mr. Hlot was the CM.

CM Sharma praised

Mr Shah praised Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma for launching public welfare and development works and said that the BJP government in the state had taken strong action against paper leaks in recruitment exams by forming a special research team.

He also pointed to the contribution of the cooperative sector to the development and said that it played an active role in 98% of the rural areas. The Ministry of Cooperation had launched 61 initiatives in the last four years to strengthen the sector, he said.

Mr Shah marked 100 new police vehicles, visited an exhibition of cooperative products and distributed agreement letters to young people selected for jobs of the government. He also has almost 24 storage machines for food grain and 64 Gillet sales points on the occasion.

Next to the CM Mr. Sharma were the Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, deputy CMS Prem Chand Bairwa and Diya Kumari, and former CM Vasundhara Raje are also present.
