If you thought Lamborghinis Edgy Design Language was exclusively reserved for his cars, think again. This week during Monterey Car Week, the Italian car maker and high-end audio house Sonus Faber de Il Cremonese Ex3me, Automobili Lamborghini edition. The debut takes place in the Lamborghini Villa in Pebble Beach, and if you want one, you have to act quickly. There will only be 50 pairs worldwide, expected to be well above the six -digit brand.
That figure places the Il Cremonese firmly in the Ultra-Luxe Audiobreug, a space that Sonus Faber knows well. Founded in Vicenza in 1983, the company has built up a global reputation for its traditional speakers, in which often woodworking traditions from the Italian violin areas are combined with advanced acoustic engineering.
This is not the first collaboration with an Italian car maker, who has previously worked with Maserati and Pagani, but the influence of Lamborghini here is unmistakable. The finishes, materials and angular cupboard geometry all come from the visual language composed by Lamborghini Centro Stile, the same design hub that is responsible for the supercars of the Italian brand and recent lifestyle projects such as the Racing Simulator Rig revealed on Dreamhack 2025.
The connection to Bose may surprise. Sonus Faber is part of the Luxury Audio Division within the Bose Corporation, with which the brand can operate with its traditional independence and at the same time benefits from the global reach and resources of a large audio player. Jim Mollica, who supervises this division, calls this new model a bridge between the craftsmanship of high-performance sound and the precision of auto design.
Each unit is expressed about hearing by Sonus Faber’s own technicians, which means that no two pairs are exactly the same. The process ensures consistency in emotional involvement and not just measured performance. In terms of colors, you can choose from five finishes inspired by Lamborghini: Giallo Countach, Arancio Egon, Blu Marinus Matte, Verde Mercury or Nero Nemesis Matte. Each is used with the same precision as a factory factor in Sant’Agata Bolognese.
As mentioned earlier, the angular shape of the caste aesthetics mirror Lamborghini’s performance-driven aesthetics, with carved contours, corsatex by Dinamica trim, carbon fiber accents and the iconic shield logo that carries the furious bull.
Inside it is just as serious with a Beryllium DLC dia fragm tweeter that offers microdynamics than 35 kHz. The 180 mm natural fibers midrange driver used with air dried cellulose, kapok and kenaf for heat and realism, while the double 180 mm woofers use the sandwich-construct of the brand for deep but controlled bass.
The nanocarbon fiber infrowoopers treat subsonic output of closed rooms. The crossover network contains Premium Mundorf components with the Paracross topology of Sonus Faber for reduced noise and precise phase control.
