Once again, B. Simone talks about her dwindling funds

In an interview with Earn Your Leisure, Simone said her income dropped from about $1 million to $10,000.

Comedian and content creator B. Simone says her monthly income has dropped dramatically after facing backlash from online audiences.

In an interview with Earn your free timeSimone said her income dropped from about $1 million to about $10,000 a month when she “got canceled on social media.”

Simone says she has been the target of intense online commentary, which she believes has had a negative impact on some business opportunities and partnerships. The comedian says the drop to 5 figures has put her “in the red”.

Simone insists she is not providing the financial support change defines her; she is more than willing to take on both the rewards and burdens of running a business.

“It’s just the risk you take as an entrepreneur,” she says.

This conversation is not the first for Simone to discuss her money mentality. In a 2025 episode of her podcast Let’s try this again, she said she would give her all financially to build her lifestyle app LTTA.

“I feel like it’s a breakthrough with what I’m creating with the app,” she told her friend Shekinah on the podcast. “Just my finances. Like budgeting. You see how I’m doing. I’ve never been like this before. Yesterday we were in Bloomingdale’s. I thought, ‘We have to go to H&M.’ And I notice it in me now, just nitpicking. I just don’t have the liquid to spend.”

B. Simone’s fame started online before she really took off and became a cast member of MTV’s Wild N’Out. However, many of her moves in recent years have been met with anger.

Her views on working traditional 9-to-5 jobs led to backlash and she was accused of plagiarism in her self-help book Baby Girl: Manifest the life you want. Even with an abundance of public criticism, Simone continues to take up space in the entertainment field and remains determined to succeed.
