On To Norway sprints to its 22nd victory in a row

Anderson, IN Wet weather, a sloppy track and seven tough harness racing enemies wouldn’t deter North America’s most popular horse like On To Norway (Muscle huge) marched first to his 22nd consecutive victory in the $49,200 Bally’s Randy for second-year trotting colts on Friday (Nov. 21) at Harrah’s Hoosier Park.

With John DeLong on board and the punters backing him as the 1-20 favourite, On To Norway soared off the wings to take fourth into the first corner as Karinchak (Jordan Ross) trotted across the field to a thrilling opening quarter of :26.4 in the doldrums. Karinchak rated the half:56.2 as On To Norway left the cones and emerged first. On To Norway moved up to second with second choice, Gimpanzee Dancer (Marcus Miller), after his cover around the final turn as Karinchak led to three-quarters in 1:25.4.

The trotters turned in the stretch and On To Norway began to assert himself, charging to the front as Gimpanzee Dancer leaned from his back to attempt a streak-breaking attempt. On To Norway countered with a :27.1 final quarter, trotting away from the challenge and crossing 2-3/4 lengths clear in 1:53.1. Gimpanzee Dancer was second, while Siesta Sandman (Trace Tetrick) was third, 5-3/4 lengths behind the winner.

Ron Burke trains On To Norway, which has collected $612,444 this year for owners Burke Racing Stable, Frank Baldachino, Black & White Stable and Michael Rosenthal. Bennet Farms of Michigan bred the Muscle huge-One Class Act gelding, who has won 26 of 32 lives and is the winningest horse in North America in 2025 with his 22 wins. He hasn’t tasted defeat since his three-year-old debut on April 3.
