Bicycle taxi services: App-based taxi aggregators OLA, Uber and Rapido have received a provisional license for bicycle taxi services in Maharashtra. Condition for approval
According to the minutes of a StA meeting, the approval has been granted on condition that these companies apply permanent permits within a month, so that all conditions and conditions are prescribed in the Maharashtra Bike Taxi Rules 2025.
In the past two months, the transport department received four applications to launch bicycle taxi services in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). But it approved provisional licenses for only three companies. De Sta rejected the request of Smart-Ride for non-compliance with the necessary conditions and conditions for serving a bicycle taxi service.
