Octagon 77 promises exciting tournament benches on October 4

Some hunters talk themselves in the headlines. One of the Co-Main participants Van Oktagon 77, Hojat Khajevand, does the opposite.

Asked what some adjustment gives him the lead against Krzysztof Jotko, a UFC veteran with more than twenty fights with large shows, Khajevand picks it up:

“I trained as usual, I’m ready for Jotko.”

That’s it. No sales pitch. No hype. Just a man who believes that preparation speaks louder than words.

But don’t confuse a briefness for doubt. Behind the One-Liners is a hunter who has already cared for a reputation in Octagon as a wrestler that nobody wants with.

“I am a better wrestler than Jotko, and I don’t think his wrestling is better than mine – we will see.”

That is the promise he bears in Bratislava in 4 October, where the Co-Main event of Octagon 77 as a semi-final doubles in the Tipsport Gamechanger tournament.

Struggling vs. CV on Octagon 77

Jotko comes in with years of UFC experience. Khajevand comes in with the conviction that wrestling everything changes. It is a collision between status and style – between a man who has been there and a man who is determined to prove that he belongs.

Jotko’s Vetera Test in Octagon 77

For Khajevand this is not just an opponent – it is a man who has spent almost ten years with competing at the highest level. Krzysztof Jotko made his UFC debut in 2013 and then achieved more than 15 victories in the Octagon, including victories on names such as Eerk Anders, Thales Leites and Gerald Meerschaert.

Known for his disciplined Southpaw striking and grinding CLINCH work, Jotko built up a reputation as one of the most difficult middle weights in Europe. He fought for massive crowds, traveled around the world and was confronted with every style that the sport has to offer.

This experience makes this Octagon 77 Co-Main event so attractive. Jotko has the CV, the Pools and the Poise Under Bright Lights. Khajevand has the hunger and the struggle threat to disturb everything.

The Gamecanger -comparison for Octagon 77

For Khajevand it is not just a fight – it is a direct line for the final. He says it about:

“Then probably in the final against Engizezeek …”

One victory over Jotko and the door waves open.

What’s on the line in the Gamechanger tournament on Octagon 77

The Tipsport Gamechanger is not just another braces – it is one of the most ambitious projects in European MMA. Sixteen welter weights came in, representing countries on the continent, all fighting for part of a prize pool of € 1 million. For Khajevand, that means his semi -final with Jotko not only about pride or momentum. The point is to hit a ticket to the final, where a single victory could change his career financially and professionally at night.

For Jotko it is an opportunity to remind the MMA world that it still belongs to the elite. For Khajevand it is an opportunity to prove that his struggles can take him all the way to the top of the largest stage in Europe.

Taken over by the crowd

If there is one place, Khajevand lets emotion slip away, then it’s about fans.

“I want to thank you all. Czech fans especially love MMA. When I get there, I get so much love from you. I will do a great show for you.”

That gratitude may sound small, but in a sport where the audience decides who rises and who disappears, this is the kind of connection that a hunter can change a phenomenon.

Calm for the storm in Octagon 77

Khajevand’s answers are short. His fight will not be.
He gambles against Jotko that understatement is changing into over performance.

If he is right, the silent man can change the entire Gamechanger bracket and his own career in one violent night.
