In a milestone show for the European Vecht scene lands Octagon 75 for the first time this Saturday in Hanover, which entails a stacked fight card and many intrigues. Gjoni Palokaj and rising Czech Prospect Jakub Batfalský, this high-stakes battle for the status of the competition in a division that was recently shaken by the departure of a former champion.
Firework (11-3) brings his 4-Vecht Octagon Win Streak into the main event fight with Batfalský in the hope of turning it into a title shot for the vacant belt. Victories on Jaroslav Pokorny, Karol Arteaga, Karol Rysavy and Marco Novak have set him up for a date in Hanover.
Batfalský (8-1) makes his 4th walk to the Octagon Cage that comes in with 3 consecutive victories under the promotional banner. The 22-year-old from Ostrava hopes to reach a title shot in the hope of becoming one of the youngest champions in the history of Octagon MMA.
