Christmas is a week away. It was so nice here, it didn’t really feel like Christmas to me. I’m also behind on my Christmas shopping, but usually. I like getting gifts for people, but I don’t like thinking of so many gifts, all at a certain time. I prefer to come across things that I think someone might like and then give them spontaneously. It’s la vie. I’ve had a bit of a cold the last few days, so today’s Strands are pretty good. Let’s solve it!

How to play strands
Strands is the newest game in the New York Times puzzle games. It’s a fun twist on classic word search games. Each day we are given a new theme and then tasked with uncovering all the words on the grid that fit that theme, including a spangram that covers two sides of the board. One of these words is the spangram which moves from one side of the grid to the other and reveals even more about the theme of the day.

Today’s strand distribution
Again, a pretty basic Strands, especially if you’ve used these various IMMUNE BOOSTERS in the past (which I have). Of course, GARLIC goes into most savory dishes I make, and HONEY and LEMON go wonderfully in a steaming mug of tea. Elderberry is not something I normally use, but it is in teas and supplements. TURMERIC is another good spice that you can add to many dishes. It’s all well and good for you. . . .
