NSE, BSE Top Gainers & Losers now 28 May: Sensex, Nifty in Red, Bel, HDFC Life Lead Gainers, FMCG DRAG, Unimech, Lic, Triveni, shares in action

Market traded in negative territory in the midst of mixed global signals. Sesex fell 106.01 points or 0.13 percent to 81,445.62 if at 12.36 pm, and Nifty 50 baptized 38.35 points or 0.15 percent to 24,787.85.

Both midcap and smallcap indexes traded with marginal profits, 0.34 percent and 0.47 percent respectively. FMCG has been dragged at the front of the sector, car, metal and health care. All other indices, including media, banking, IT, Realty and Oil & Gas, showed resilience.

Top gainers and losers

Sharat Electronics, HDFC Life, Bajaj Finance, Bharti Airtel and Adani Ports led the profit of Nifty 50 in the afternoon trade session.

Bel and HDFC Life shares achieved 1-2 percent, while others were traded flat.

On the other hand, shares of Bajaj Auto and Nestle India fell nearly 2 percent. Apollo Hospitals, ITC and Tata Consumer Products fell more than 1 percent.

ITC fell almost 5 percent after the British multinational bat PLC had deposited its interest in the company by 2.3 percent by a block deal worth £ 11,613 crore.

Approximately 1,504 shares claimed and 1,184 all 2,763 shares that were traded on the National Stock Exchange Intraday. 69 Shares, including Unimech, Sky Gold, Nibe, Avalon, Kernex hit the upper circuit, while 17 stocks hit the lower circuit.

47 shares, including Bel, Cholamandalam Investment, Choice International, Eid Parry and more hit 52 weeks high and 13 shares of 52 weeks low.

On the BSE IFCI, Techno Electric, MMTC and Juniper hotels with 10-15 percent. DCX India fell sharply by 6 percent.

Iti, Pgel, GRSE, Rites and Welspun Corp rose by 4-8 percent with smallcap shares. Bharti Hexacom, Indus Towe, Vodafone Idea, Igl and Suzlon achieved 3-5 percent at Midcap.

Moreover, the defense index was risen by Astra microgolf products and Unimech led 7 percent and 10 percent respectively. GRSE rose by 4 percent.

Shares of LIC, Triveni Engineering, Medplus, Bosch, BDL shares were in Focus after the Q4 results. IRCTC, Sail, JSW Holdings, Bata, Dr. Agarwals Health Care, Finolex Cables, Natco Pharma, Welspun Corp and more will announce the Q4 results today. Follow live updates here
