The very first Nissan X-Trail Nismo has been launched in Japan. Straight up there is no power increase it is based on the regular e-Power Series Hybrid (1.5 liter turbo three-cylinder engine + two electric motors = four-wheel drive), so it develops the same 204 PS and 330 Nm of torque.
Nevertheless, it should be better and a more fascinating steering – in a scoop for Nissan there are kayaba swing valve dampers, who minimize body roll. The E-4-ear-electric AWD has now been put forward more, “improving the line tracing while it is accelerated by the corners.” A specially adjusted vehicle control module offers sports and automatic modes that influence the gear and distribution of the front.
The X-Trail Nismo rolls on exclusive 20-inch enkei alloys covered with Michelin Pilot Sport EV Rubber. The wheels have a wide middle opening to improve the brake cooling and a flat outer edge to streamline the air flow. Nissan says that there is 29% less lift and more responsive steering to deal with the suspension and rolling material upgrades.
In terms of appearance, there are dark chrome accents on top of the grid, a Nismo-bathed and downforce-generating kinspoiler and a red line that goes around the lower circumference of the car. The back has a diffuse -shaped lower edge; There is a racing-inspired rear fog lamp in the middle.
Inside you will find a new D-shaped steering wheel with a red 12 hour marker and red accents here and there, including a red motor-start button. Optional are those Nismo Recaro sports seats, which are equipped with Power -Recline and Heating.
