Nintendo increases the prices of its original Nintendo Switch gameconsoles, the Company announced on Friday. The price increases, which will come into effect on 3 August, are due to ‘market conditions’, says Nintendo.

The affected products include the Nintendo Switch -OLED model, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite and select Nintendo Switch accessories. Other Nintendo products, including certain Nintendo Switch 2 accessories, select Amiibo and the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo, also see price increases.
It is not yet clear what the new prices will be. Currently, the original Nintendo Switch is for sale for $ 299.99, while the OLED model costs $ 349.99.
Nintendo said that it does not exclude a future price increase for the Nintendo Switch 2, which sells for $ 450.
