Nick Carter was accused of sexual abuse of a woman and reportedly infect her with sexually transmitted diseases, which led to cervical cancer, according to documents obtained by Fox News Digital.
Laura Penly claimed in her lawsuit in Nevada that the Backstreet Boys singer sexually abused her several times, starting in 2005 when she was 19.
Penly claimed that she had not yet had other sexual partners prior to Carter and positive tested on HPV (Human Papillomavirus), Chlamydia and gonorrhea after Carter’s alleged attack.

Carter denied the allegations and claimed that the allegations of Penly “were more of the same nonsense of the gang of conspirators” in a statement to Fox News Digital.
“This is simply more of the same nonsense from the gang of conspirators and their lawyers who continue to abuse the legal system to try to ruin Nick Carter,” said the statement. “It comes from the same predictable PlayBook – lurk for decades until Mr. Carter celebrates a professional milestone and then hides behind the trial for a lawsuit to make completely false claims in an attempt to cause maximum damage to Nick and his family.”
His representative added: “Nick never remembers that he has even met Laura Penly. He certainly never had a romantic or sexual relationship with her. Ever. The person who makes these claims has a documented history of financial and legal problems, has applied for a bankruptcy and has been challenged for fraud.

“We will not only fight this, we will also be looking for sanctions against her legal team to make this frivolous action possible.”
Penly claimed that she initially had a “sexually intimate relationship” with Carter and the singer would see “every few weeks” when she visited his apartment in Hollywood.
She claimed to ask Carter to wear protection during their encounters, but he refused and led Penly to believe “that he was clean with sexually transmitted diseases,” said documents.

After three cases of ‘consensual sexual intercourse’, Penly claimed, Carter rejected her when she asked for a ‘film and hangout’ instead of sexual intercourse. Allegedly “told her no because the only reason she was there to have sex and that it is what she wants,” says documents.
“Carter then took the plaintiff off the ground and threw her on his bed” before she reportedly would be “powerful” penis walk, despite the fact that she said “no more times”.
He would then have instructed her to “keep her sexual abuse of her and that nobody would believe her,” adds documents.
Two months later, Penly claimed, Carter apologized and asked to see her again. On arrival in his apartment, she claimed that two of his friends were present.
It is said that Carter told his friends that he would “be back” and led the Penly to his bedroom, where she told him that “she did not want a sexual intercourse.” Carter, however, would have sexually abused her again.

In July 2005 she tested positively on HPV, Chlamydia and Gonorrhea, and test results showed that she was also positive for cancer cells. A month later, Penly claims, she was diagnosed with 2 cervical cancer and had to undergo countless treatments.

“The consequences of Carter’s sexual attacks are continuous, causing the plaintiff to cause serious emotional need, physical fear, medical problems, intimacy problems and other complex trauma,” says the lawsuit.
She also claimed that she suffered constant intimidation from Backstreet Boys fans after she was called to testify in a statement with other survivors of Carters alleged sexual abuse.
Penly’s lawsuit is the fourth lawsuit against Carter in recent years.
Popster Melissa Schuman filed a lawsuit in 2023 that Carter accused of sexual battery and sexual violence, according to judicial documents obtained by Fox News Digital.

“I have had to deal with extraordinary recoil because I came up for myself; I am not the first, but my intention is that I am the last,” Schuman said in a statement. “It is time for powerful figures in the music industry to receive the message that they can no longer afford to make and protect sexual predators. I am fighting to make the music industry a safer place to work and perform.”

Schuman and Carter met for the first time while filming the TV film “The Hollow” together. She first emerged in 2017 and accused Carter of rape. The “He Loves U Not” singer claimed that Carter had raped her in 2003 when she was 18 years old. At the time he was 22, according to judicial documents.

Carter was also charged by Shannon “Shay” Ruth and Ashley RepP for sexual violence.
During a press conference with her lawyers on one Facebook live stream, Ruth claimed that the Backstreet Boys singer had raped her in 2001 when she was 17.

“The last 21 years have been filled with pain, confusion, frustration, shame and self -harm that are a direct consequence of Nick Carter who raped me,” Ruth claimed during the press conference.

Carter denied the allegations through his lawyer and submitted a counters. He claimed that Ruth and others used the #MeToo movement to “ruin Carter and to ruin it differently and to ruin his reputation for the purposes to get attention and fame and/or to extort money from Carter,” said the lawsuit obtained by Fox News Digital.
His defamation was rejected in a court in Nevada in August 2024.
