It is important as a leader to always plan for the future – Dwayne Bravo

Dwayne Bravo recently took over the head coach of Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR), and he praised Kieron Pollard for stepping the leading role at the right moment and passing the baton to Nicholas Pooran. He said:

“It is important as a leader to always plan for the future. Polly and I and I share the same values in life in different ways and the transition now goes to Nicky P who is someone who has learned so much cricket and us and we as players and you know, I think he is the right choice at the right time.”

In the meantime, Kieron Pollard said it was a fairly easy decision for him, because Dwayne Bravo is on board, a new face that leads the side is great. He said:

“So for me it was a kind of easy decision, you know, after last year, think about it with Bravo who came on board, you know, new head coach and I just thought it was good, this is the right moment that if we can get a new captain to continue that transition period.”

“And he understands how we want to play cricket, the winning culture that we want to create, again a home -grown boy and again shares a lot of respect with many players around the world, not only in Trinidad and Tobago and Caribbean. So I think it was very, very easy and it is also something we actually have prepared and have the chance of Knight.”
