Don’t expect a trade to fix the Winnipeg Jets
TSN: The Winnipeg Jets have lost Connor Hellebuyck and are struggling. They have defensive issues, something that Hellebuyck has been able to mask, and there is no quick trade fix; they will have to find out for themselves, according to Darren Dreger.
“There’s no trade that’s going to help this. What might help is a players-only meeting they had after a humbling loss Monday to the Buffalo Sabers in Buffalo to restore that commitment to playing better defense, the identity of the Winnipeg Jets.”

Some teams will be watching to see how Laurent Brossoit’s conditioning stint goes
TSN: Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Laurent Brossoit is coming off double hip surgery and heading on an AHL conditioning stint. There is no place for him in Chicago, but if all goes well there will be some trade interest, according to Chris Johnston.
“Brossoit’s agent Ray Petkau has been cleared to talk to other teams to see if there is any interest. There certainly is some. They will be keeping an eye on how he does in his return to the AHL and he will be a goaltender that will be available for the foreseeable future.”
