And I think there’s a few things at play here. First off, I don’t think Boston feels like they’re in a rush. They still compete.

You know, Boston isn’t a team that’s going to throw in the towel by any stretch of the imagination. They got a big win against Colorado on Saturday, and boy, I saw how (Nathan) McKinnon and (Charlie) McAvoy did in the end. I like that. Two hugely important players for the teams, who like to fight like this at the end of the match. Like it matters. That says it matters.

But you know, everyone here is looking for centers. Everyone wants centers. Boston has someone here that Vancouver and others have been calling about. And the Bruins say, ‘No, we did that. We don’t have to do this, and we’re not going to do this unless we get what we want.”

And it’s clear that nothing has happened at this point. Zacha has an 18 no-trade. I understand Vancouver isn’t in the mix, so the Canucks could theoretically do this.

I’ll tell you this. This was actually quite interesting. I don’t think I ever said it anywhere because I wasn’t sure. But I’ve been telling people that I heard Zacha turned down a trade to Winnipeg last year, and someone said to me, I heard you talked about that, that’s not true. So I wanted to, I just wanted to mention that.
