Steven Stamkos gives the Nashville Predators a three-team roster
TSN: Steven Stamkos doesn’t want to be traded because he’s happy in Nashville, and he’s armed with a full-movement clause. He prepared himself in case the Predators were thinking about approaching him to opt out, as he provided a list of three teams he would waive, according to Pierre LeBrun.
“They’ve prepared by creating a list of favorite destinations. I’m told that list is topped by the Tampa Bay Lightning, and then the Dallas Stars and then the Minnesota Wild are the three teams on that list.”
To some extent the Devils tried to sign him in New Jersey two years ago, but it’s definitely the Lightning, Stars and Wild, and of course Tampa Bay, boy, that’s a juicy angle if that could ever happen.
LeBrun adds that he thinks it’s more of an offseason trade than an inseason move.

TSN: The Detroit Red Wings have made an offer to the Vancouver Canucks for defenseman Tyler Myers, and at this point it doesn’t appear he wants to go to Detroit.
“There’s still a lot of time, and I think he’s inclined to wait to see if maybe other teams step up and try to make a deal with the Canucks. The Stars, for example, are a team that is known to have some interest in him, and I think he would like to play there if that works out.”
