St. Louis Blues Justin Faulk will receive some trade interest
The Fourth Period: While the St. Louis Blues are at the bottom of the standings, GM Doug Armstrong has let the teams know they are willing to listen to some of their players. Forward Brayden Schenn will draw interest, as will defenseman Justin Faulk.
The 33-year-old Faulk has one year left on his contract with a cap hit of $6.5 million, but only a $4.5 million salary for this year and next year. He has a 15-team no-trade list. Teams will call to see what the price would be.
The Nashville Predators could have plenty of assets at their disposal if they want to make big changes

Head coach Andrew Brunette is under contract for one more season. David Pagnotta reported that forwards Steven Stamkos and Jonathan Marchessault could be willing to consider a trade with a contender later in the season.
Pending UFAs include forwards Michael Bunting, Erik Haula, Michael McCarron, Tyson Jost and Cole Smith, and defenseman Nick Blankenburg.
Forward Ryan O’Reilly could be the most likely of all the Predators to be traded. The 34-year-old has one year left on his contract at $4.5 million. Several contenders are already watching with that contract.
The Buffalo Sabers are telling teams that Tage Thompson is currently unavailable
Marco D’Amico of RG Media: Another bad start for the Buffalo Sabers this season, with teams circling and wondering who they can pry away.
The Montreal Canadiens and Vancouver Canucks are among the teams that have inquired about forward Tage Thompson. A source said GM Kevyn Adams has consistently said he is “unavailable at this time.”
The Sabers will not make any panic trades and are not interested in moving Thompson at this time. He has a five-team no-trade list. If the Sabers were to make him available later in the season or next season, he would generate a lot of interest.
