Could the Philadelphia Flyers be a trade destination for Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Anthony Stolarz?
Sportsnet: Nick Kypreos and Justin Bourne discuss how the Toronto Maple Leafs could consider making a goaltender trade Anthony Stolarz after the creation of Dennis Hildebyand I hope the Philadelphia Flyers can be a trade destination for Stolarz.

Bourne: “You mentioned Anthony Stolarz in your Kyper’s Korner, part of the article where you said Philadelphia might be…”
Kypreos: “Yes, listen, there is a, there is not a strong market for goalkeepers, but there are teams that will look around.
NHL Rumors: Pittsburgh Penguins and the Detroit Red Wings
And I was on the radio recently in Calgary, and they, like (Devin) Cooley, were their backup goalie. Cooley looks like a real strong candidate for a great career. Like, but they just signed (Dustin) Wolf. Like no one is in it, no one is in a position right now, and we’re seeing it in Minnesota where you’re going to have these quality 1A and 1B. There’s just too much value in constantly having a guy sit on your couch all night.
So whether it’s Cooley or Stolarz or any of these guys, teams are calling. Philly is in a mess right now with Vladar, and he isn’t supposed to be the team’s MVP.
Producer: “Yeah, specifically about Stolarz there. Something I’ve been thinking about here is I’m trying to think of the precedent, the past example of a guy signing a contract extension, and we’re talking about maybe trading him six months down the road. And you know, the first impression of that 3.75 extension was that that looks pretty team-friendly.”
How do we end up in this situation six months later, where we want to send him away? Is it true, am I naive to think that that is as taxing as an agent relationship, a player relationship? I try to think of the example.”
Kypreos: “I’ll tell you why. Okay, because of a man named Dennis Hildeby. That’s why. That’s why.”
Producer: “That simple?”
Kypreos: “It’s as simple as that. This guy came in, he wasn’t supposed to be as good as he is. He was supposed to spend a few more years working on his craft in the minors. He’s come in and he’s shown a tremendous amount of poise and maturity.”
And now it’s not a perfect world where you would want to give him full-time. It’s not a perfect world where you are convinced that he is now ready for the next step. But you may be forced to take a chance, or gamble, and simply remove other assets.
NHL Rumors: Predicting where some of the top trade targets could end up
That’s, that’s why Stolarz went from six months from being the guy who was the number one goalkeeper to, is he expendable?’
