If they want to change things, move forward Brayden Schenn ($6.5 million cap hit) and defenseman Justin Faulk ($6.5 million cap hit) could be moved. Come on Jordan Kyrou of $8.125 million in 2030-31 could also be an option (he has trade protection).
It can come to this John Gibson about waivers to get Sebastian Cossa to the NHL. Gibson hasn’t been very good in Detroit so far. Sometimes it is not easy for goalkeepers to adapt to a new team. They’re not giving up on him yet.

They should clearly bring in someone else. Tristan Jarry has a history of injuries, and a salary cap hit that is essentially double Skinner’s. Jarry’s $5.375 million through 2027-2028. The Oilers will only trade for him if they think he can win the Cup for them.
The Columbus Blue Jackets may have a bigger need at the blue line, but they should be one of the teams interested Kiefer Sherwood. The 30-year-old plaintiff is from Columbus. He plays in the top nine, hitting, scoring and killing penalties.
