Bunkis: “100%, and that’s the other part of Bobby McMann’s before we move on to other guys. Like, because we’re doing the Edmonton, Edmonton, Edmonton. God, he’s so perfect for Edmonton. I don’t think we’ve had a very good discussion yet about what the market would actually look like for him. How many teams would be actively involved?”
Like, do you look at him as having a big market because of that free agency, or, or is it something where it’s actually a limited group, but I think all you need is two, two dance partners to drive the price up.

Mirtle: “Yeah, I looked at this this weekend. I think Colorado could be very interesting for him. You either have him playing there with Brock Nelson or, you know, they need some forward depth. Obviously they’re at the top of the lineup.”
I think there are four or five teams that are interesting for him. And if they might be missing one of the sexiest parts, he’s kind of a second or third option.
And I think it would be wise for the Leafs to wait until the last minute, like the Bruins did last year. Wait until two days before you put some pressure on the teams that feel like we have to do something. Everyone knows how busy it is, you know.
And maybe someone gets desperate enough to give you a first pick, or a prospect and a second. Or some kind of package where, in a year or two, you’ll look back and think, “Did they get that for Bobby McMahon?”
