Sidney Crosby and two other potential options for the Montreal Canadiens
Arpon basu of athletics: Sidney Crosby did not really say that he is not interested in being traded and that he intends to end his career in Pittsburgh. He has not really confirmed or denied that he can welcome an exchange at some point.
Given the prospect pool of the Montreal Canadiens and the desire for someone like Crosby, it is difficult not to see them as a possible fit. The penguins would certainly be looking for a hunger of young prospects/players and picks.
The Canadiens would have a number of inviolable pieces that they consider in the future as part of the core group. They would like Ivan Demidov to play with Crosby, not to trade for each other. The HABs should also send scheduling player (s) to the penguins to make the money work.

Of course there would be other interested teams. According to the rankings of Corey Pronman’s Organization Prospect Pipeline, the prospects of those teams are at the bottom of the competition: Colorado Avalanche (worst), Tampa Bay Lightning (28th) and New York Rangers (24th).
There can be some other centers that the Canadiens look at when their teams start a slow. The New York island residents could watch to rebuild Bo Horv and make Bo Horv available. Pavel Zacha in Boston can be another option.

Nhlrumors.com comment: It is clear that Sidney Crosby is tired of answering questions about his future. Most agree that his agent, Pat Brisson, does not say the things he said he would do if he hadn’t spoken to his client. Hard to think that they had no conversation in advance. But Crosby Contains all cards. Until he decides that he wants, he remains a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
