The Minnesota Wild could use some scoring help from the middle six
Anthony Di Marco of Daily Faceoff: Sources say the Minnesota Wild are looking for a middle-six forward and have been looking for a center since last season. They have struggled to score and injuries to Nico Sturm and Mats Zuccarello have affected their depth.
They had some money to spend this offseason, but the centers like it Sam Bennett And Brock Nelson re-signed with their teams. A source said the Wild were looking to make a move on the winger Brock Boeserbut he also redrew.
There was speculation this offseason that the Wild were looking for a trade center Marco Rossibut the price was very high. One GM said this past year that GM Bill Guerin was looking for two first-round picks. Rossi is currently their No. 1 center and scores points per game. If Rossi remains at center, and with the Wild, a team source said they could look to wingers to help with the attack.
NHL Rumors: Teams are looking for centers, but no one wants to trade

Zayne Parekh is unlikely to return to Junior
Sportsnet: Elliotte Friedman on Calgary Flames rookie defenseman Zayne Parekh. He should play, but probably won’t return to Junior.
** NHLRumors.com transcription
“Yeah, so we had the Flames before and Zayne Parekh wasn’t playing. He’s dealing with an injury. He’s in nine games and many of you who follow hockey know that if you get to 10, you’re burning a year off the entry-level contract. I don’t think the Flames are concerned about that.”
Eric Francis had a really good story today about: would the Flames actually send him back to Junior? I think Eric wrote that because there is always a 1% chance, and you always have to cover yourself.
I heard this year that there was no way the Flames were going to send him back to Junior, and I don’t think that has changed at all. But what I do think is that they realize he can’t just sit there and not play.
NHL Rumors: St. Louis Blues and Keeping Your Own Free Agents
So whether it means a conditioning stint in the American Hockey League before heading to the World Juniors, they need to get him back in the lineup when the season starts to go sideways. But I don’t see any chance of him going back to Junior.
