Leaving was never really in the thinking process of Brady Tkachuk
Greg Wysnski from ESPN: Brady Tkachuk’s father, Keith, recently shot that Brady was unhappy in Ottawa and that he might be looking to get out. Although they may not have had the success that Brady had hoped, he feels that they took a step last year and have just started.
“I think that helped with all the speculation. If things are not going well, people always assume or try to think in my shoes. But I was never really really in that thinking process. It was about it. It was long, not just our team but the city, to get to the play -offs. And I think it was really important for me to end.”

Jim Tatti: “We will press this in, Brady Tkachuk. I mean this, these trade rumors, or, I think, just leave them behind rumors, but not as long as the search for land for a new arena. But they have been a few years and he has clearly put some water on that fire. What is your thoughts on that?
Garrioch: “Well, I think Brady Tkachuk has committed the city of Ottawa and the city, and the city of Ottawa loves him for sure. I look at Tkachuk and I say, you know, I think it was important for them to make the play -offs.
But now of course, and I think, you know, Tkachuk has always wanted to do it here. He is very tight with Thomas Chabot and Tim Stutzle, and he was clearly very tight with Josh Norris before he was traded. But, but I think, you know, Tkachuk wants to get this done here.
He really knows, I spoke with him at the end of the season, he really felt they had just taken a step. Now they want to take the next step. But to make that happen for them next season, Jim, the growth will have to come from within.

And because I think the teams around them have improved. And I think everyone is watching the Florida Panthers at the moment and and says, you know, can we be as good as the Florida Panthers? And I think that, that Ottawa and Toronto, were cut for them in that department of their work.
