NHL Rumors: $200 million for a 10% stake in the Vegas Golden Knights

Do you have $200 million? The Vegas Golden Knights want to sell 10% of the franchise

Daily confrontation: The Vegas Golden Knights are reportedly looking to sell a 10% stake in the franchise for $200 million. It’s still Bill Foley’s team, but according to David Pagnotta, they could sell some of it. They are not the only ones who have done this and may want to do the same. The Calgary Flames and Dallas Stars have explored the idea.

Pagnotta: “According to sources I have spoken to, the Vegas Golden Knights have put 10% of their franchise up for sale and the asking price is $200 million.

Now there are teams, and we’ve seen this, like Tampa did this. They sold some of it, and then it migrated a little bit. You know, that’s not the case here. This is Bill Foley’s team.

But from what I’ve been told, from people who have had these conversations, 10% of the franchise is up for grabs right now. High valuation for them, $200 million for that.

NHL rumors: Getting rid of their first-round pick adds to Ottawa’s disaster

But there are other clubs that want to do the same. You know, I think Calgary is a team that has explored that. Dallas investigated that. There are other teams currently, given the status of the league. And just the success of the league right now and the trajectory that we’re on, the likelihood of expansion in the future, some teams are trying to take advantage of the situation right now for different reasons.

But Vegas is Vegas is one of them. We’ll see where that goes. But according to the latest news out of Las Vegas, the Knights have put 10% of that team up for grabs.”
