The 22-year-old Mctavish is a limited free agent who has yet to sign the ducks. Murphy gave the Carolina Hurricanes And Montreal Canadiens belong to the teams that keep an eye on the young center.
The source of Murphy suggested the long -term relationship between Ducks General Manager Pat Verbek and Red Wings GM Steve Yzerman could help facilitate a deal.
Note of the Spector: Verbeek and Yzerman have worked for years with the red wings and the Tampa Bay Lightning. Nevertheless, the Ducks GM is not under pressure to exchange MCTavish, and it also has the CAP space to match an offering magazine of a rival club.
Verbeek will determine a high price for McTavish if he decides to exchange him. The asking price will probably include a good young schedule player and perhaps a top perspective.
Pittsburgh Hockey Now: Then Kingerski believes that during this season there is still a lot of undone in Pittsburgh and around the competition. Penguins -fans are still waiting for general manager Kyle Dubas to make the exchange that the schedule reforms and enables him to plant his flag on a rebuilding.
Meanwhile the Edmonton Oilers cannot continue with their goalkeeper Malaise, the Detroit Red Wings still has to be over the play -off bump, and the Toronto Maple Leafs seem to have replaced the deceased Mitch Marner with Nick Robertson.
In Boston, the Bruins need more talent to return from a disappointing season, while the New Jersey Devils And New York Islanders are “stuck under the Junior Varsity in the east, but have much greater hope.”
Speaking of the Penguins, Kingerski recently quoted Dubas Telling the podcast “Cam & Strick” that teams call him to get to know their second and third round picks in the NHL concept of 2026. “And you know why,” said Dubas. “So that’s their business. If they want to pay a fair price, we will probably talk about it.”
Kingerski pointed out that the Penguins have the second rounders of St. Louis Blues’ and Winnipeg jets, and the third rounder of the San Jose Sharks.
Note from Spector: Those clubs could want those picks back, because next year’s design is considered a deep talent. However, they can also want them back, because it would enable them to pursue one of the few remaining remarkable free agents with offer sheets.
