Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles
Javonte Williams shines in the debut of his cowboys: The first two discs from Dallas both ended with touchdowns from Williams.
The cowboys spent the low season with giving their running room a complete makeover, which goes further from Rico Downle, Deuce Vaughn, Ezekiel Elliott and Dalvin Cook, while they brought in for free agents Williams and Miles Sanders and release a fifth round Pick on Jaydon Blue. The cowboys rested their starters during the preseason, which led to Williams not played. Both Sanders and Blue treated injuries. They both played during the preseason, but in different matches. This left us little insight into how the running backs would rotate in the regular season. This game was by far our best look at how this backfield will shake early in the season.
We received our first insight into the rotation 90 minutes before the kick -off, when blue was a healthy inactive. He missed a lot of training camp, but did not appear on the injury report prior to the competition. The cowboys have fullback Hunter Luepke, who can also play halfback, making it somewhat understandable that Blue was sitting. Everyone who has set up blue must keep him on his selection at least the first few weeks, because things can easily change between now and a month.
Williams started the game and played a bigger role than he had with the Broncos last season at some point, and it had better than Downle the majority of last season. There were a few pieces of the game where Sanders took a few snaps at the same time, but apart from that it was all Williams. That included taking snaps in Korte Yardage, on the goal line, on the third downs and during the two -minute drill. It seemed that the rear field could have shifted as soon as Sanders broke a 49 -meter run, but he rumbled. Although the role of Williams is great, it is worth remembering that the cowboys had the sixth-fold receptions by running back last season. Although Williams has the reputation to receive back, the running was not a priority in the passing game.
Williams becomes a borderline fantasy starter until Blue becomes more involved in the attack. The decision to start him will largely depend on the quality of his opponent and the projected gamecript. Next week Dallas is facing the New York Giants at home, which should be a situation in which you can start Williams.

Kavontae Turpin continues in a greater role: Turpin finished last season and played a little more than 50% of Dallas’s attacking snaps and he continued to play a similar role.
Dallas continued from Brandin Cooks this season and replaces it with George Pickens. Although Pickens did not surprisingly played a high percentage of the attacking Snaps of Dallas, there was some question about who would be the third broad recipient in the team. Jalen Tolbert was the established third receiver, but Retouter Extraordinaire Kavontae Turpin is mentioned on the Depth Card for Tolbert. Turpin was one of the starters who was the president, while Tolbert had to play the first two games. This suggested that Turpin would be the third receiver.
Tolbert started because Turpin is the primary kick recovery. Tolbert remained on the field to start most discs, but Turpin joined the next game. Turpin was the primary receiver in sets with three recipients on the second game of discs until the end of the discs. Tolbert remained similar to Turpin in terms of Snaps because he was the primary wide recipient in 13 employees.
Although Turpin has made a few plays, it is unlikely that he can be familiar with fantasy-staring line-ups this season because he will remain a part-time player in sets with three recipients.

Monitor Will ShipleyHealth: Shiepley ran a ribblessel and was considered doubtful to return.
The Eagles continued from the old backup that Kenneth Gainwell ran back this season, making it 2024 the fourth round shypley Pickley could step into the primary backup area. Philadelphia started the game with two long discs, in which Shipley took three snaps in the middle of the first ride and two snaps in the middle of the second. He won 26 Yards on three Carry’s, mainly from a 20-Yard Run.
It is unclear when the Ribblessel took place, but Barkley took all eight snaps for the last ride of the first half. In the second half it was former Green Bay -Packer AJ Dillon who entered the match to give Barkley a break. Barkley’s playing time was relatively comparable to last season in terms of total snaps. Last season, however, the Eagles tended to give Barkley its breaks on the third downs and during the two -minute exercise. In this game it was more of the early downs where Barkley left the game. If Shipley misses a lot of time, it becomes even more likely that Barkley will decrease his snaps on early downs.
This can lead to a slight decrease in Barkley’s touches, but he could make up for that with more catches, so that he can be helped in PPR competitions. Assuming that Shipley is healthy, the first half made it a bit clearer that Shipley is the clear handcuff of Barkley.

Various notes
- As the season progressed, the Eagles became less versatile in their use of AJ Brown and Devonta Smith. Brown’s rates if an external receiver on the line of scrimmage rises, just like Smiths rates to stand in line. That took place in this game.
- Brown had a very quiet game, a trend that took place in several games last season. Although Brown has the talent of a top five-wide recipient, the Eagles have too much attack in the field of attack, so Brown was not drawn up to WR10.
- Jahan Dotson received 122 yards in his first 17 games with the Eagles, but he generated 153 Yards in his last two. He remains the clear third recipient in the three receiving sets of Philadelphia.
- The Eagles have two new back -up broad recipients in John Metchie III and unguomed Rookie Darius Cooper. Neither of them played an attacking Snap in the first half, while both attacking snaps names in the second half.
- Eagles third-string Quarterback Tanner McKee was inactive for this game because of a right thumb injury.
- Eagles Fullback Ben Vansumeren was injured in the opening kick and was plagued off the field. The Eagles used more 13 employees than they usually played last season, partly because of the Vansumeren injury.
- The tight final rotation of the cowboys with Jake Ferguson, Luke Schoonmaker and Brevyn Spann-Ford were remarkably similar to last season. Jake Ferguson was almost always the tight end in 11 employees in passing downs, often in 11 employees on early Downs, but he only played less than half of the snaps in two-digit-endsets.
- The cowboys elevated wide recipient Ryan Flournoy to the active selection for this game. The cowboys only had four other broad recipients on the Roster. Jonathan Mingo is located on an injured reserve with an indication to return.
Table notes
- Snaps include plays that are mentioned back because of penalties, including keeping offensive or defensive pass -interference. The other three statistics have removed these plays.
- Goals can differ from official NFL sources. The most likely discrepancy would come from a clear shot pass, whereby the NFL can give the target to the nearest recipient, while this data does not.
- Carries are only on designed plays. Quarterback Scrambles do not count for the total number of Carry’s in the game.
