So I drafted this team before the Francisco Lindor news and it’s a draft and hold. Okay? Say okay! Tell me it’s going to be okay! No? It’s not okay? Fine! Thanks for nothing! That’s okay, I prefer to play from the back. Yes, that’s the ticket, said Jon Lovitz. It’s a draft and hold, but luckily I don’t use Lindor’s raised hand to hold him! I’m so angry! So I entered my first Draft Champions League with a bunch of Razzballers and was able to draft Francisco Lindor with the 11th pick because no one told me what was coming. Last time I play with a bunch of fortune tellers! Let’s see how badly I messed up the design after my unfortunate first choice. For those unfamiliar, it’s a 50-round draft and hold, so no waivers. It is a 15-team team, two catchers and weekly for pitchers, and biweekly for hitters. If you want to play with some of us in a twelve-team league for free, there are the Razzball Commenter Leagues. Anyway, here’s my draft summary from Draft Champions:
PSYCHE! Before the recap, I just wanted to say that my top 500 and all of my fantasy baseball rankings for 2026 will be updated as soon as possible. Additionally, Rudy’s War Room is updated several times a day and seasonal subscriptions are open. Buy a subscription and save a cowboy. And if you want to play in this NFBC format, we’ll do another one Design Champions League from this Monday. It’s a slow version, so you don’t have to be there for the version. Same exact format. Registrations were open for Patreon members the last few days, so I’m not sure if there are any spots left. Anyway II, the draft summary:

This is a mess.
I’ve seen better.
YES, OTHER TEAMS IN YOUR LEAGUE.
Want to see what the War Room totals say?
NOT MAINLY, BUT GO FORWARD.
Here are my War Room totals:
[EYES GO WIDE] So it’s even worse than I thought.
This design took place before I had the War Room.
Well, here come the excuses.
Well, it did. That’s not how to use the War Room. I usually fill out the War Room as I go so I can get an idea of where I’m weak, according to the War Room, and then unfill it if I can’t do anything about the team. That said, ‘according to the War Room’ is the key here. I like to use it to get an idea of how the team comes together, but me and the War Room differ in opinion. Cam Schlittler has about 300, I have him around 150. Imai is about 180 for me, and 315 for the War Room; Jack Leiter got a Jack Leiter sleeper – appropriate! – but the War Room doesn’t like him, and has him ranked at 350. Also, it doesn’t help my War Room totals that my first choice isn’t even the best guy in the War Room for my team. Jazz Chisholm Jr. neither. That would be Jacob deGrom at 24 years old. So according to the War Room, I lined up in this order: deGrom, Jazz, Lindor, then Rooker, which is interesting, but I don’t agree with it. I agree that Lindor took a dip in value after I drafted him.
THESE EXCUSES ARE ENDLESS.
Okay, I’m just telling you why my team is janky. I also liked Lenyn Sosa more when I drafted him, then the White Sox got Munetaka Murakami, Luisangel Acuña and Austin Hays, and I ended up with a bench hitter. I like some of my depth, Jacob Young and Nasim Nuñez should be regular players.
YES, NASIM NUÑEZ AND JACOB YOUNG WILL SAVE YOUR TEAM. WELL DONE, DUMB! WERE THERE ANY GUYS YOU WANTED ON THIS VERY BAD TEAM THAT YOU DIDN’T GET, BESIDES EVERYONE’S CLEAR ANSWER?
I missed Justin Crawford by two picks, Reynaldo Lopez went right before AJ Blubaugh and Ryan Weathers went right before Ian Seymour. There were three. I remember wanting to see where they were going.
I have to be honest, I’m not sure those three will fix your team.
Well, check this out if you think I’m a total prankster:

They need to double check their methodology.
Okay, fine. Whatever. This team will be just fine and won’t need any help even if Lindor returns in the first week of the season; Gavin Lux hits leadoff and goes 30/20; Ramon Laureano steals 50 sacks; Colson Montgomery hitting 50 homers and hitting .270 and deGrom’s 200 IP won’t hurt. Oh, and maybe a Cy Young year from Framber. All that and I’m in!
