Each pacer had his second start for Hall and showed that in better company they will win more races.

Reset The Bar, a $5.60 chance from barrier five in the 2130m APG Perth Yearling Sale Pace, was in sixth place at the bell and under lock and key on the pins before breaking free on the approach to home bend and flying home, three wide, to rise and take the win with half a head of the pacer and $2.25 favorite Sugar Shake.

Reset The Bar unsuccessfully challenged for the early lead before moving in and being shuffled back as early leader Cee Dee Three ($6) surrendered the lead to Sugar Shake after 500 meters.

“It felt good when I got there (behind the leader), although I probably should have stayed a step further and then worked my way to the front when Sugar Shake came up,” Hall said. “I didn’t think he would get there (to win) when I got out, but he held on well.

“Reset The Bar is a nice horse at home, but when he comes here he is a bit difficult, he jumps and throws his head around. But he is easy to ride.”

Reset The Bar is a five-year-old Sweet Lou who has now had 20 starts for seven wins, three placings and $66,729. His younger half-brother Full Swing Denario impressed, with his 15 starts (all in WA) bringing seven wins, four placings and $57,983.

Final Collect, a six-year-old Art Major, was a warm $1.80 outside favorite at barrier seven in the 2130m APG Perth Yearling Sale This Sunday Pace. He settled into the back before Hall quickly sent him forward to get into the wind outside $61 outsider Burghley Shard.

After a slow opening quarter of 31 sec. Hall sent Final Collect to the front with 1,300 meters to travel. The last quarters were completed in 28 seconds. and 28.9 sec. and Final Collect, rated 1.57.2, won by a $34 long shot over Manhattan Moon, who advanced from eighth at the bell.

Final Collect won two of his twelve outings in New Zealand and then had 48 starts in Victoria for six wins and 13 placings. His record now stands at 62 starts for nine wins, 16 placings and a stake of $175,974. He is out of the Mach Three mare Collectable, who earned $111,038 from three wins (in New Zealand) and eight placings from 26 starts.

Final Collect gave Hall his third winner on Friday evening and he finished with a quartet of victories after scoring in the final event with Girl Of Brightness.

Penny Black warmed up in style for next Friday night’s $50,000 Lombardo Pace with a strong first win in the $25,000 APGold.com.au Pace over 2130 metres. The Michael Young-trained mare was the $1.80 favorite and was confidently handled by Emily Suvaljko, who raced without cover as Wonderful To Fly ($14) set the pace.

Penny Black came to the fore on the home run and retained the victory with a neck-breaking $17 chance over Madam Publisher, who ran determinedly after enjoying an ideal passage, one out and one back.

Penny Black scored 1.56.6 after the final quarters of 27.3 seconds. and 28.1 sec. She has raced 41 times for 17 wins and 12 placings for a stake of $403,075.

Miss Leopatra, the $4.30 second fancy, ended Wishing Belle’s winning run of seven when she set the pace from the No. 1 barrier in a 2130m event for three-year-old fillies, posting a score of 1.55.7 over the 2130m to beat Wishing Belle, the $1.55 favourite, who started from the outside barrier in the field of eight on her first start after an absence of six months.

Miss Leopatra, confidently ridden by Jocelyn Young for trainer Cameron Ross, has won twice from eight starts and is assured of a bright career.

Nine-year-old New South Wales-bred Trittrittbangbang celebrated his 236th start with an upset win and a $28.50 chance in the 2130m Harness Racing Is Our Focus Pace.

Trittrittbangbang was piloted by Shannon Suvaljko for co-owner and trainer Matt Scott. He started from the inside of the backline and raced three back onto the pins as Bettor Move along ($10) set the pace.

Suvaljko got Trittrittbangbang in the clear 220 meters from home and the experienced pacer was sixth in the 100 meters before storming home with a wide to take victory by half a neck from a $5.50 chance My Little Big Man, who had taken the lead in the home leg.
