In Germany it has now been reported that Newcastle United had an approach for Sven Botman from Bayer Leverkusen.
The Bundesliga club lost defender Piero Hincapie to Arsenal and Kicker Report that their information is that Bayer Leverkusen then tried to sign the Newcastle defender to replace it.
The German media outlet, however, states that Newcastle United made it clear that Sven Botman was not going anywhere.

Sven Botman is a defender of the top class and was part of the best defense in the Premier League in the 2022/23 season, because Newcastle gave only 33 league goals.
