Newcastle United fans need to get out of this apathetic mood and support the players

I usually arrive at St James’ Park about 45 minutes before the match.

At that time I read the program and watched the players warm up before the match.

It’s the same every game, a bit of five-on-five with short passes into the Gallowgate corner.

Goalkeepers practice catching crosses.

The attackers then go to target practice, which was rubbish on Sunday. They didn’t mention names, but they couldn’t hit a barn door. Although not one of them tried to put the foot through the ball and hit it properly, instead all side foot shots.

During that time the Villa end was full twenty minutes before the match and there was plenty of singing going on. Gallowgate End up more at the bar than in the seats.

The announcer called the players playing, which is usually to loud cheering, but on Sunday there was none or very little.

Many Wor Flags flags weren’t even waved when the players came out.

I thought it didn’t bother the crowd, few numbers, totally outmatched and outclassed by the Villa fans.

We Newcastle United fans need to get out of this apathetic mood and support the players.

And the players of Newcastle United in turn have to give us something in return, because we are going to become a normal club.

Fans and players, be proud of our club and what it stands for.
