Newcastle team against Bournemouth predicted with these five changes

Looking at this Newcastle team against Bournemouth.

Only hours to go before United is back in action on the south coast.

Newcastle United wants to make the successive victories in the Premier League.

A clean sheet and Nick Woltemade score on his debut, enough to beat Wolves.

In between, of course, we saw that narrow 2-1 defeat against Barcelona in the Champions League.

As a reminder, this was the Newcastle team against Barcelona:

Pope, Trippier, Schar, Burn, Livramento, Tonali, Bruno, Joelinton, Barnes, Gordon, Elanga

One thing that we know for sure is that there will be changes in the eleven that started against Barcelona. Just a case of how many changes and who comes in (and goes out).

Wissa and Ramsey are not forthcoming and Gordon cannot play if he completes his three Games Premier League suspension. While Fabian Schar misses these next few games because of concussion protocols, which were forced against Barcelona after a blow on the head.

Kieran Trippier swinked late against Barca and even if it was just as only cramps and/or fatigue, I don’t see him from today.

So where does that leave us?

This is my predicted Newcastle team against Bournemouth:

Pope, Livramento, Thiaw, Burn, Hall, Tonali, Bruno, Joelinton, Willock, Woltemade, Murphy

If this were to prove reality, this would see five changes in the eleven that started against Barcelona.

Thiaw looked a class act when replacing Schar on Thursday and a big shock when the German international does not start today.

The same with Lewis Hall, unless Eddie Howe still thinks that he does not fit physically after surgery earlier this year. Either with or without a hall coming in, I think there is also a possibility that the NUFC head coach will change this afternoon on three central defenders and wingbacks. Especially when certain other players are further on the field, it is not good to start. Sven Botman is of course another great option and if he is fitness again, there is no surprise if he returns to the team at some point.

On balance, however, I think we will see a back four, coming in with Thiaw and Hall.

If they are all physically in order to do this, I think the usual midfield trio will start. With Bradford instead in the cup that sees at least two of the three on the couch.

Nick Woltemade is set to start and my money is on Murphy to come back.

I feel that Eddie Howe will look to keep both Barnes and Elanga this afternoon as an impact of Subs, Joe Willock to probably play on the left.
