Newcastle could now look to replace Alexander Isak with his former strike partner at Real Sociedad, while their hunt for a new center-forward is going on.
The future of Isak in Newcastle seems untenable, despite the insistence of manager Eddie Howe on Friday that he would like to integrate him in his team again.
Howe told, reporters prior to the collision from his side with Liverpool that the situation “looks like it is coming to an end”, and that could come up with a British record movement to Anfield.
The Newcastle statement on Wednesday stopped excluding a sale, only that certain conditions must be met to have Isak leave as he wishes.
One will be a suitable replacement, and the Mail‘S Craig Hope reports that Atletico Madrid striker Alexander Sorloth has now been discussed as an option.
Write about XHope explained that Newcastle explores no fewer than three candidates, while on Friday they insist an answer to Brentford’s Yoane Wissa.
Sorloth, who played next to Isak while he was on loan at Real Sociedad, seems to be a realistic replacement in the first-choice role in advance.
The 29-year-old scored 24 goals in 53 games for Atletico last season, but is behind Julian Alvarez in the pecking order in the front.
Newcastle has also tried a movement for Wolven striker Jorgen Strand Larsen, with the Express & Star‘s Liam Keen reported that they insist on a deal with a value of more than £ 60 million.
Hope claims that Larsen is not for sale, although his club is apparently open to an agreement in that region.

In the meantime, transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano is adding X That contact was made this week with Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea, who is another striker that is available this summer.
Bayern Munich and, interesting enough, Aston Villa are also freeers for Jackson, with the involvement of the latter possibly Ollie Watkins opening for a sale.
Watkins is also on the Radar of Newcastle and if Villa was able to reunite Unai Emery with his former Villarreal Center-Forward Jackson, it would not be unrealistic to suggest that the English international could then move to St James’ park.
It is clearly a situation that depends on many moving parts and Liverpool is largely left to wait for a resolution before making their expected second bid.
But the continuous striving of Newcastle not only one striker, but two, indicates that they do everything they can to ensure that they do not stay behind with a restless Isak as part of their team after 1 September.
