Instant fan / writer response from some of our regular contributors on the MAG.

Nat Seaton:

‘Great result without being the best versions, although that does not mean that we have not played well!

Absolutely a little fatigue from Champions League, but they came through and took the 3 points.

Great Captain’s goal and winning the penalty and what a penalty from Nick !!

We probably played better and did not win this season, but we have made more than enough chances of our game to rightly take all 3 points that go during the international break when (some) our players can have a well -deserved rest. ‘

Billy Miller:

‘I looked at the game on my phone during a tour of Giant’s Causeway, so I don’t catch everything.

But what I saw was a huge version of our skipper with a spectacular goal and then a Wunderbar penalty from our gigantic striker.

Perfect result to bring us during the international break. ‘

Mark Jankowski:

‘Another clean slate and a valuable 3 points such as Newcastle, which is starting to build up what momentum.

Newcastle probably made a harder work out of it than they should have done, but some excellent stops from Sels did not stop the score wider.

We still have the ground to make up for it, but with a more favorable run of luminaires on the horizon, this is the time to kick! ‘

Gatoon:

‘Huge victory today.

That was sometimes a fight, but we won it and that fight normally takes place in the middle of the park.

Tonali and Bruno were excellent and Joelinton was frightening, especially if you were Elliot Anderson he decided to find out.

The physical approach pushed the forest further back when they had to withdraw to let the space play. You saw that the forest players were not confident on the ball while we pushed forward.

I think the great football terms “he doesn’t want it” and “he will give you back” were very suitable today.

Last point. I wonder what Osula thinks when he enters the field with a few minutes left. Whatever it is, it tends to leave opposite players on the floor. Hilarious.

And he will be a player, I think when he gets a series of games. ‘

Matt Busby said …:

‘I saw ourselves playing better and yet their keeper was their MOTM, who made a number of excellent saves this afternoon to prevent hell of a paste.

Tonali was excellent as usual.

Bruno set us a fantastic strike and winning the penalty, meant that he had rejected our MOTM Award for me.

And what a version from Big Nick’s site.

Back -TO -Back victories and another clean magazine. What a difference makes a week. ‘

The armchair fan:

‘Fantastic afternoon!

Certainly worth the victory because of a brilliant second half performance.

I also predicted 2-0 in my preview with both goals in the second half. Feel free to ask me to ask the lotterine numbers!

The team is starting to gel together and we also have options from the bank.

I am really happy with that and I feel sure that we can put together a series of shape and climb the competition table. ‘

Tony Mallabar:

‘There is an old boys’ saying what is happening on board remains on board …

Well, I liked this morning until 1 am, when what happened in Brussels certainly did not stay in Brussels, because I was in the little boy’s room for most of the night.

So hopefully I became one of Eddie How’s Firestick Mags for one game.

What I got out of the game … We had 3 cracking games against Notts Forest last season, unfortunately they are far back from what I had seen against us last season.

With ex Toon -goalkeeper who she keeps in the game for longer, it should have brought us to bring them to bed.

Bruno looked like he had a point to prove against Elliot Anderson, with a good goal and winning a pen.

Big Nick sent the perfect pen right in the top corner.

As much as I want our Anth (Elanga) … at the moment a better team with the Birtley Beardsley back in the team.

So just after we started to get a little momentum, it is a silent store for more meaningless internationals. ‘

Simon Ritter:

‘United did not look good while Forest played for a draw.

Not enough fast, smooth pass, not enough attempts to score.

Once we had beaten Bruno’s cracker, we found more room and we would have packed two or three goals if they did not shoot directly on Sels.

Big Nick Woltemade made things safe with a blinding fine.

A hard -fought three points against a team will probably also rather rather than climb the table later. ‘

David Point:

‘A deserved victory and a much needed to get us that competition table.

We played well today and might have had to win a few more.

Bruno started us with an absolute stunner and then Woltemade with a beautiful unbound fine. He went high and luckily it didn’t know the bar.

Anderson, bless him, admitted the spot kick who enabled us to put the seal on it.

It has been a good week and forest fans may be grateful that we helped to speed up their manager to the starting door. ‘
