It ended Newcastle 2 Fulham 1.
Jacob Murphy did very well to close down Last Man Bassey and steal the ball. His run took him outside the penalty area and the low shot landed perfectly in the corner.
He could and should have had a second not long after as a brilliant first pass from Gordon gave Murphy even more time to think, one on one with the keeper. This time, however, the shot into the area wasn’t as clinical, allowing Leno to make a good save.
After Lukic equalized in the second half, it became even more of a battle.
However, United dominated in the final fifteen minutes and pressed ruthlessly for the winner, with the substitutes making the difference with fresh legs.
Will Osula did well to force Leno into a desperate save and Bruno followed up with the winner in the 90th minute! Phew!!
Looking at the individuals in black and white, it’s interesting to get an independent perspective on how this turned out.

Jacob Murphy (7.4), the second highest rated NUFC star, did well in his hour on the pitch and also hit the post from a tight angle.

While Kieran Trippier (7.2) has been so consistent with the quality of his performances this season.
