Most options on the table for the New York Rangers when they achieve a slow start
Dave Pagnotta of the fourth period joined TSN Radio in Montreal Last Monday and was asked about the New York Rangers and what they will do at the trade market if they start a slow start.

Host: “Dave. If this team is disappointing again and does not meet expectations. In which direction do you think the organization is going in? Like, is it? Gen they finished it and did they start again? What is your feeling there?”
Host: “They are going to write a new letter?”
Dave Pagnotta: “Exactly? You might have to do that. I mean, if they can’t get their act together. You have locked your goalkeeper. So you have locked up (Igor) Shesterkin for, you know, in the coming eight years they have made those things. From isolated that D-Corps a little.

If they are a team that is a kind of that bubble team and does not make much noise this season, unable to recover, I think you look at different things. I don’t think they want to go through a ‘rebuilding: as they did fake a few years ago. I think they immediately want to retool immediately.
And I think everything would be investigated, or almost everything, I should say, would be investigated, including (Artemi) Panarin. I think they can press again (Mika) Zibanejad, we will see what is happening there, depending on their season. (Alexis) Lafreniere, do they look at it to try to make a large, daring hockey type movement and to change talent for talent and go in that direction?
I think almost everything would be considered if this team is a bad start. “

It started the last season with the Jacob Trouba Trade rumors, the Barclay Goodrow Mess, Igor Shestin and Alex Lafreniere contracts, before the rumors of Chris Kreider, Mika Zibanejad, Kaapo Kakko, and Trouba came out again.

Those distractions, together with the inability of the players to trust general director Chris Drury, led to their downfall. The players can no longer sabotage their own season. Nobody can really read about the Rangers for this season, but if they are through the deadline from the play -off mix, they can change things again.
