The spring season was very good for Adam Land.
The Lynn Haven (Fla.) Mosley tight end saw his list roll past a dozen exhibition offers, but he continued to stop in Starkville about all other contenders in his recruitment.
The Bulldogs returned the favor, from Jeff Lebby to Jon Cooper who visited him several times this spring alone. It built comfort on both sides and the rising senior chose to end his recruitment with a few phone calls on Tuesday.

“I have had a different relationship with coach Coop since the beginning and have been to Starkville four or five times since last summer,” Land told Rivals. “It just feels like my place.
“It is always felt relaxed and comfortable.”
The striking three-sport was set up to pay an official visit to MSU next weekend, but did not feel like waiting to deliver the good news to the staff.
“Every time we have been to say they show us something else,” he said. “I waited for my official and then just decided that there was no reason to wait, so I called coach Cooper last night and made it officially.
“Coach Lebby called me today (Tuesday) and I think it really made it official.”
Land was planned to see Pittsburgh This weekend, but he tells Rivals that trip has been canceled.
The Floridian is currently completely bulldog, with Cooper’s consistency as an important reason for the SEC obligation.
“Coach Cooper was in my first Mega Camp last May and he followed the tight end group and coached me among representatives,” he said. “Two days later he invited me to come to Starkville to camp and two days later I was exercising there …
“About five months later he and the state were my first D1 offer and since then we have been tighter every week.”
Also a striking basketball and baseball player, land projects as a flex end that works best in space as a matchup problem for smaller defenders.
