The New Jersey Devils have which is generally considered an above -average prospect pool. While they keep moving through their warring window, it is not something that many fans want to hear until Playoff’s success becomes a norm. Understandably.

Nevertheless, here are some names that may help them one day to reach the promise country. You will notice quite a few names from outside the first round here, for which the Devils do not always get enough recognition. Let’s give that credit where it now owes:
#10: F Brian Halonen (26 years old, 6’0 ”, 207 LBS.) | Current team: Utica Comets (AHL)
Originally prepared: NVT, College Free Agent
Ceiling: NHL Fourth Lining + Power Play Support Pilower, ~ 10-15 goals per season
Halonen has continued to place pucks at the back of the net before the comets. However, he was unable to crack the NHL-Line-Up at the same time, despite the fact that he deserves a serious consideration for a bottom-six role. With Nathan Bastian from image, Halonen can finally be made in 2025-26.
#9: F Shane Lachance (21 years old, 6’5 ”, 218 LBS.) | Current team: Utica Comets (AHL)
Originally prepared: 2021 Round 6 #186 General by Edmonton Oilers
Ceiling: NHL Fourth Lining + Power Play Support Pilower, ~ 15-20 Goals per season
One of the best Secretly The movements of the deadline were the devils who acquire laughing of the Edmonton Oilers. He plays a similar type of game like Halonen/Bastian, where he scores most of his goals around the fold. But with the age by his side there is an even higher offensive ceiling.
#8: G Jakub Malek (23 years old, 6’4 ”, 190 lbs.) | Current team: Utica Comets (AHL)
Originally prepared: 2021 Round 4 #100 General by New Jersey Devils
Ceiling: Solid 1B net in the NHLThink of the type Jake Allen
Due to the rise of Mikhail Yegorov, Malek started flying under the radar. But don’t get it twisted: he is still a very capable net with a track record of professional success in Finland. He gets the chance to really make a name for the comets in 2025-26.
#7: Conrad Fondrk (18 years old, 6’0 ”, 203 lbs.) | Current team: Boston University (NCAA)
Originally prepared: 2025 Round 2 #50 General by New Jersey Devils
Ceiling: Responsible Middle Seat NHL-Vleugel player, ~ 50-55 points per season
While injuries limited its production in 2024-25, Fondrk was considered a talent in the first round by the Devils. He achieved eight points in his last four games with the US National Development Team (USNTDP), mainly against Division I schools. He will want to continue that success if he enters his first -year season in Boston U.
#6: F Lenni Hämeenaho (20 years old, 6’1 ”, 185 lbs.) | Current team: Utica Comets (AHL)
Originally prepared: 2023 Round 2 #58 General by New Jersey Devils
Ceiling: NHL Top-Zes scoring winger, think of Tyler Toffoli Type
In many prospectpools, Hämeenaho would certainly be a top five talent, but the Devils have a pretty deep system. He was almost one point per match (51 in 58) in Liiga, Finland last season. There is no doubt that his shot is his best power, but his ever criticized skates has improved a ton. It is too early to tell how it will translate, but there is a huge advantage of the young Finn.
#5: Mikhail Yegorov (18 years old, 6’5 ”, 181 LBS.) | Current team: Boston University (NCAA)
Originally prepared: 2024 Round 2 #49 General by New Jersey Devils
Ceiling: Elite number one goalkeeper in the NHL. Possible Vezina consideration.
Yegorov conquered the college hockey world last season and almost all the way to a national championship. The always bustling, extremely talented network must now be considered one of the best target twists in the world. General manager Tom Fitzgerald even said that his name often came up during Deadline discussions, but the Devils would be foolish to give up from him, unless it is for a young, really elite talent with years of control. And even then it’s a risk.

#4: D Seamus Casey (21 years old, 5’10 ”, 181 LBS.) | Current team: New Jersey Devils (NHL)
Originally prepared: 2022 Round 2 #46 General by New Jersey Devils
Ceiling: Great to Elite NHL-attacking defender
There is no doubt that Casey has enormous attacking skills. But as is apparent from his first professional season, the defensive side is still a work in progress. He and Simon Nemec are in a special situation with an extreme logjam on the right (Johnathan Kovacevic, Brett Pesce, Dougie Hamilton), so it will be intriguing to see how the Devils deal with it.
#3: f Arseni Grityuk (23 years old, 6’0 ”, 194 lbs.)} Current team: New Jersey Devils (NHL)
Originally prepared: 2019 Round 5 #129 General by New Jersey Devils
Ceiling: NHL top six wing player~ 60-65 points per season
Grityuk was one of the best players in the entire Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) last season, and now Devil’s fans are anxiously waiting for his game. Although it is unfair to keep him in extremely high expectations in his first NHL season, he has all the tools to be an effective top-six winger in the near future.
#2: D Anton Silayev (19 years old, 6’7 ”, 207 LBS.) |
Originally prepared: 2024 Round 1 #10 General by New Jersey Devils
Ceiling: NHL Top-Pair Defender, think of Victor Hedman Type
Silayev is an absolute monster on 6-foot-7, but skates like a fast 5-foot-10 forward. If he was not Russian, he would probably have gone into the top three of the 2024 design, but the wait should be worth the devils. He was able to become a member of the team in this spring.
#1: D Simon Nemec (21 years old, 6’1 ”, 190 lbs.) | Current team: New Jersey Devils (NHL)
Originally set up: 2022 Round 1 #2 General by New Jersey Devils
Ceiling: NHL Top-Pairtwo -way defender
The story about Nemec’s gloomy season 2024-25 season turned around completely after he looked like an elite veteran defender in the Stanley Cup play-offs. He was prepared for a reason #2 generally. Although he may never have the offensive ceiling of many top defense prospects, he can become a very solid top pair option with a responsible two -way game.

Honorable mentions
The fact that a player does not crack the top 10 does not mean that they are a bust. Cam Squires, Matyas Melovsky and Ben Kevan are most likely NHL -Stam guests, but many others also have a decent shot.
