Today we have released three new modules for Divi 5, including the much-proclaimed group carousel module, with which you can make any type of carousel or slider, including post-based carousels, with the help of Divi 5’s New Loop Builder.
We have also added a Lottie module for simple JSON-based animations and a icon list module for simple frame creation.
The new architecture of Divi 5 makes it easy to make module, so we will release a surprising amount of new modules after the official release of Divi 5. This is just a starter to hold on while we concentrate on following the beta phase next month.

Group Carousel Module
The most important addition is the group of carousel module.
Unlike other carousels, every slide in the group carousel is an empty canvas; You can add each module to each slide to make a carousel or slider. You control the number of slides, the content of the slides and other animation settings. Because groups can be stylized using the wide range of DIVI design settings, you can make unique styles and transition effects.
Make postal, term and user-based carousels
With the Loop Builder of Divi 5 you can view a group in the carousel to make postal, term or user-based carousels. This gets dynamic content from your website to automatically fill in any slide.
Switch on looping on the group, adjust the query and connect dynamic content in the carous elements. In this example I built a witness scarrusel using an adapted posttype and fields made with ACF.
Carousel -Examples
The beauty of the group carousel module is that every slide in the carousel is an empty canvas wrapped in the group container of Divi. You can add any module in it, together with gene rows, and create advanced sliding layouts with Flexbox.
Heaven is the limit!
You can also use the full range of design settings from DIVI, such as transformations, filters and box shadow, to create transitional effects.
Example #1: Custom slider on full screen
The group carousel can display a random number of slides per page. If you limit it to a single slide, you have a slider. You can get away from the existing Divi sliding modules to make something new.
Example #2: Multi-slide team carousel
You can choose how many slides per page must be displayed and how many slides you want to scroll with each click. In this example I made a team of slider for a page about an over -page, including social links using the Social Follow module.
Example #3: Running carousel -based in the long term
You can build -based carousels in the long term using the runner of Divi 5. In this example, the carousel runs through WooCommerce product categories. The category name and function image are dynamically generated with every slope in the loop.
In this example I made a menu that glides through a list of best -selling dishes. Adjusting the scale and coverage of inactive slides creates a nice transition effect while I slide through every item.
Lottie -Module
The new Lottie -module makes it easy to add Lottie animations to your website and to control their animations and interactions.
Lotti animations are great because they are based on JSON and SVG, making them lightweight and pixel-perfect. There are many places online where you can find great animations and easily add them to your page.
With the Lottie module you can adjust the animation speed, trigger, direction, looping and more.
⚠️ Note: WordPress Media Library does not allow JSON files to upload. If you want to upload a Lottie animation via the WordPress Media Library, you can use a plug in such as Upload types file To make Jsonupload possible.
Icon
The icon list module is a simple addition that fills a small void in the most basic modules of Divi. It makes making lists and allocating unique icons to any item easy.
Previously, the only way to make lists was manually in a text module, making it a simple but welcome addition.
Try Divi 5 today
These new modules are available today for Divi 5 and are one of the many functions that come to Divi this year.
You can follow as we continue through the final release of Divi 5 and then, with updates every two weeks. Depending on your priorities, you can now use Divi 5 to build new websites or wait until we add more functions, which works best for you.
As set out in the original release schedule of Divi 5, the Divi 5 Public Alpha is as “Divi 5 Lite”. It is missing a few functions and may not be suitable for existing websites, but it is ready to be used on new websites if you prefer the experience above Divi 4.
