When “Full Swing” debuted on Netflix in 2023, the series was the first of its kind in Pro Golf and offered an in-depth, insider view on some of the most famous names of the game and the fine tricks of their competitive and personal life.
The series was also released at a suitable moment – the golf world was recently split into PGA Tour and Liv Golf Silos and the tensions were high. Viewers numbers reflected the intense interest of fans in the emerging power struggle between the two tours and their stars.
And according to Sports Business Journal’s Josh TimmermanThere is more to come, with a fourth season reportedly en route. “Sources expect a season of six episodes,” said Carpenter on X. The first two seasons of “Full Swing” had eight episodes, while the third season had six.
Details about what will be treated in season 4 still have to be announced, but there is a lot of food to work with, from Rory McIlroy’s redeeming victory at the Masters to conquer the Grand Slam career to the six-win season of Scottie Scheffler. Netflix cameras also rolled during the recent Ryder Cup in Bethpage Black, where Keegan Bradley led the American team for a loss of 15-13 for Europeans. The Bradley storyline is another likely center point, because his stripped response to the Ryder Cup team of 2023 in Rome remains one of the most memorable moments of the “full swing”.
A release date for season 4 has not yet been announced, but if it follows the cadence of the previous three seasons, viewers can expect the episodes to fall somewhere in February or March next year.
In the meantime, you can catch up with a number of recaps about episode of previous seasonal episode.
