The south penthouse at Vestry 70 has lived many lives.

It served as the backdrop for a reality show on Netflix. It later became entangled in a divorce between the show’s star and her now ex-husband.

Now it has a new claim as one of the most expensive apartments in downtown after trading for $57 million Friday, according to public records.

The final number falls short of the recent new record set by financier Harsh Padia’s apartment at 150 Charles, which sold for $60 million last summer.

The penthouse at 70 Vestry sold in November for $65 million after the seller, reality star Julia Haart, won the home following a messy three-year divorce from Italian entrepreneur Silvio Scaglia.

Adam Modlin of Modlin Group had the entry.

Scaglia bought the apartment in 2018 for $55 million. He appeared as Haart’s estranged husband during the second season of Netflix’s “My Unorthodox Life,” which featured Haart and her children in New York City after leaving an Orthodox Jewish community in the Hudson Valley.

The enormous penthouse also made an appearance. The 16-room apartment spans 7,800 square feet over three floors and has a private elevator, two chef’s kitchens, five bedrooms and five bathrooms. It also has more than 3,600 square feet of terrace.

Haart was given the apartment after a judge granted her a default judgment in the divorce early last year.

While the proceedings were underway, the house was rented for $125,000 in 2022.

The sale is the latest major deal downtown, after a number of developments along the West Side have attracted wealthy buyers for apartments asking well beyond recent record closings.

In December, a buyer at Zeckendorf Development and 80 Clarkson of Atlas Capital Group agreed to pay $129 million for multiple units. The deal has yet to close, while a penthouse at 140 Jane Street in Aurora Capital, asking $87.5 million, found a buyer last summer.
