Now, on with the Nerds app League Week 2 -Preview!

This is the first in a series of articles that will cover the competition profits and losses, that is hot and who is not. We will split the rankings, cover the individual matchups and emphasize which players have come through for their managers and which have left them high and dry. At the end of each article we will contain an interview with one of the managers. First on the interview I get some thoughts from our commissioner, Keith Ensminger. Week 1 Summary | Fantasy Football Experts League

Week 1 about the NFL was filled with some big surprises. A number of large points were set up by the usual names and some stinkers that were fell by some, we expected to do much more. Daniel Jones If the biggest surprise comes to me. Prior to the Monday Night Football Matchup between the Bears and Vikings, Daniel Jones is the surprise player of the week. The new Colts QB placed a top 10 total for the week. He developed one of the most dominant victories in the recent Colts history. Proters even announced that it was the first time since the Peyton Manning era that a QB from Indianapolis had led his team in the first half. Danny Dimes was on fire, winding for 272 meters and a nice TD Michael Pittman JR.

Week 1 MVP | Top Fantasy Performer

Buffalo QB Josh Allen Was the fantasy MVP of the week. His feverish efforts to lead a desperate last-minute comeback against the AFC-rival ravens were something to see. With the Double Figures team late in the 4th quarter, he managed to collect the troops and numb the ravens. A late game Derrick Henry Fumble helped free the road for all to set up a Monster Stat line of 394 passing yards with a few TDs. He also succeeded in chip in an impressive 30 hasty yards and two hasty scores. He stopped his end of the bargain for the two most recent NFL MVPs and helped both the Buffalo Bills and our own Peter Monahan to guide the victory in week 1.

Week 1 Matchups | Summary of winners and losers from head-to-head

Taylor Christianson vs Jared Wackly

Taylor Christianson vs Jared Wackly Week 1 Sleeper Matchup - Week 2 Preview

Week 1 proved many things, but in the first place among them was that depth is the key with such deep starting requirements. The Taylor team became much more consistent despite the disappointing output of Stud QB Joe Burrow. Jared simply couldn’t overcome the exit of 8 starters. Jerome Ford in particular has not even set up any point. Both managers were quite efficient with their arrangement, where only Keon Coleman was the only exception on the Mysleepers bank. Taylor Christianson starts the season 2-0 while Jared Wackly falls to 0-2.

Peter Monahan vs Jon Glosser

Peter Monahan vs Jon Glosser Week 1 Sleeper Matchup - Week 2 Preview

Pete was led by a few Studly efforts by Josh Allen, Justin Fields and Bijan Robinson. They sent his team to one of the top scores in the entire competition. Jon had a number of really nice pointed totals from some of his players, but his depth came back to bite him in the but on this one. In particular, a 0 -point effort from Xavier Worthy and a total of -0.20 from Kaleb Johnson was just too much to overcome. Peter Monahan starts the season 2-0, while Jon Glosser just gets shy with the median and the gate 0-2.

Matthew Mitchell vs Rich Dotson

Matthew Mitchell vs Rich Dotson Week 1 Sleeper Matchup - Week 2 Preview

In the tightest match of the week, Team Reflipewthenuz succeeded in squeaking through Dynastyrich. This was the only game of the week to end within a margin with one digit. Each team had only completed three players under 10 points. The last difference in the score amounted to Brock Purdy defeated Trevor Lawrence. Neither team left real points on the couch, with only Juan Johnson scored about 10 points. Matthew Mitchell starts 2-0; Rich Dotson 1-1.

Nick Piovano vs John Hammersmith

Nick Piovano vs John Hammersmith Week 1 Sleeper Matchup - Week 2 Preview

Neither parties set up a banner week, but Nick Piovano received enough for the W. He was led in this with an attempt of 25.99 points by Caleb Williams. Neither manager could have done something useful to change the outcome, because both squadrons had minimal points on the couch. Nick Piovano wins; John Hammersmith loses.

Mychal Warno vs Keith Ensminger

Mychal Warno vs Keith Ensminger Week 1 Sleeper Matchup - Week 2 Preview

Both parties were really efficient with their starting setup. This was really a case of the studs of Thesmingdynasty who put Duds. Keith received one-digit pointed totals from Amon-Ra St.Brown, Terryon Henderson, Terry McLaurin and Brian Thomas Jr. Brighter Days Lie probably for this talented team. Mychal Warno starts with 2-0; Keith Ensminger 0-2.

Garret Price vs Matt Cooper

Garret Price vs Matt Cooper Week 1 Sleeper Review - Week 2 Preview

Garret managed to finally take it off. Couchscoutscoop had a hard time overcoming the need to start Bhaysshul Tuten in his starting line -up. He really had no replacement on his couch, who drew him in this. Aaron Rodgers was another potential game that he could have made to remedy his pointed total. Garret prize starts with 2-0; Matt Cooper 0-2.

This trade raised a few eyebrows over the competition when it went down. Luxembourgh was a late addition to the competition and took over a team that he did not prepare himself. As such, he made a flurry of transactions to increase his team. The majority of his worries was tackling his QB room. When asked what his thoughts were about trade, he replied: “This deal will look nice in 6 months.” We will have to check how this deal is going on. One thing is certain, the trade calculator of the Dynasty Nerds saw a clear winner.

Interview of the week: Keith Ensminger aka “Thesmingdynasty”

Interview with Keith Ensminger - Week 2 Preview Nerds App League Insights

Question: So, tell us something about yourself. Where do you come from? For which team do you root for? How long have you played a dynasty and how long have you been with Dynasty -Nerds?

A: I come from Mechanicsburg, Pa. I am a jets fan and have been playing Dynasty Fantasy Football for 12 years. I’ve been with Dynasty Nerds for 6 years. I am currently a senior writer and NFL Prospect Analyst.

Question: Tell me a bit about your team in the Nerds app League. What did you go with in this build?

A: I really wanted a top 3 place, so I could make sure I had one of Jayden Daniels, Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson. I was convinced that I could find out the rest while I went.

Question: If you should assess your startup concept, what letter figure would you give it?

A: I would give myself a B. I think I have the best QB room in the competition and one of the top groups WRs. But I made myself vulnerable at RB and Te. Hopefully my Rookie selections can fill the void.

Question: Give me impressions of week 1. Do you have the feeling that one of the teams was better or worse than you expected during the preseason?

A: I have been playing Fantasy Football for a long time and week 1 is always the most difficult thing for setting line -ups. Especially for dynasty players! After months of foreign discussion and hype, we want to start and show our shiny new Rookie toys. The early use statistics for Rookies were remarkable. Dyland Sampson and Harold Fanin Jr. were very involved in the passing play of the browns. Omarion Hampton got the lion’s share of wearing the chargers, while Bhayshul Tuten and Kaleb Johnson hardly saw the field. That said, I am not sure if we can take away a lot, good or bad, about the performances of our team. Ja’marr Chase was WR74 for the week; That will probably not continue.

Question: Give me your feelings on your own matchup of week 1. What can we expect from your team in week 2?

A: After a few recent transactions, the Dynasty Nerds app rated me as the best team for dynasty value in our competition. But I knew that I was in trouble with my first matchup against Dynastydadmike. With players such as CMC, Alvin Kamara and Mike Evans, he was built to win early, while I hope the best days of my team are in front of us. However, I would lie if I said I was not disappointed about my WRs. I expect that playing is going better. I followed a spreading shot approach with my tes. While Theo Johnson set up a guy, I was happy that Noah Fant was so involved. I start him in the future.
