Arsenal are reportedly looking to sign Ajax and Belgian protégé Mika Godts, beating out Manchester United and Chelsea for the talented young star tipped as the next Eden Hazard.
The attacker, born in 2005, was one of the revelations of the 2025/26 Eredivisie season. He has been responsible for seventeen goals in just nineteen appearances in the Dutch top flight this season – ten own goals and seven assists.
Godts – who has drawn comparisons to Hazard thanks to his ‘exciting’ playing style – is under contract with Ajax until the summer of 2029, but the report adds that offers between £13m and £17m will be seriously considered this summer.
And a left-wing upgrade is seen as a priority for many Arsenal fans next summer, as Voetbal International claims ARSENAL have launched an investigation to sign Ajax and Belgian protégé Mika Godts.
Godts’ agent also told him Sporza that he expects his client to be the next “mega transfer” from Amsterdam, saying: “Leaving Ajax [in January] was absolutely out of the question.
“He has a big goal: to play at least a hundred games [currently has 96]. He would like to belong to that club, so a transfer was out of the question anyway.
“Together with Youri Baas, Godts should become Ajax’s next mega transfer. The financial need to sell has disappeared in Amsterdam, but they will not refuse a substantial amount.”

The summer transfer window is still a long way off and the Gunners are more focused on winning the Premier League title than making moves to sign more players, but the youngster is tipped as a great player.
ARSENAL is a huge club that offers opportunities to stars like Godts, so if he decides to leave Ajax in the summer transfer window, a move to the Emirates is one that would certainly improve his development.
But at this stage of his career he doesn’t need to move and staying at Ajax for a few more seasons would make more sense if he really wants to become a top player in world football.
NDIAYE WANTED
There have been some shocking media reports now claiming that Arsenal are the latest side to express an interest in attempting to sign Everton star Iliman Ndiaye, although the takeover could cost more than £60 million in the summer.
ARSENAL have bought a number of quality players in recent transfer windows and all their hard work in the market has paid off as the Gunners are favorites for the Premier League title this season.
But there are a few players in the squad that Mikel Arteta probably no longer needs, and there has been a lot of speculation and rumors in the media about stars who could be let go in the upcoming transfer window.
The North Londoners boosted their title aspirations by investing heavily and strengthening their forward line last summer by signing Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres, but according to a report from Caught Offside, Arsenal remain keen to strengthen their forward line and have now entered the race to sign Everton star Iliman Ndiaye.
But reports say they will wage a transfer battle to sign the Everton star with Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester United also keen to try and win him away from the Toffees when the transfer window opens.
Not only that, the Toffees will have to pay a huge transfer fee, with David Moyes’ side looking to receive €65-75 million, so the Gunners will have to spend a lot of money to get a deal done.

ARSENAL have one of the best squads in the Premier League, Mikel Arteta has captured some real quality over the last few spells, but they will need to continue to strengthen their squad to stay ahead of Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United next season.
However, he doesn’t need to sign players who demand they start every week, so adding someone like Ndiaye to the squad to make him a big star makes sense for his plan.
But saying that, the attack is filled and if Arsenal want to add to that midfield, they may have to get rid of some fringe players.
BERTA READY TO COMPLETE ALVAREZ DEAL
According to TEAMtalk and journalist Graeme Bailey, Arsenal are already ‘in discussions’ with former Man City striker and Chelsea transfer goalkeeper Julian Alvarez over a summer return to the Premier League, through his representatives.
Arsenal would have to pay a hefty fee if they want to lure Julian Alvarez back to the Premier League, according to ex-Everton and Aston Villa chief executive Keith Wyness, amid reports that the Gunners are still keen on a transfer deal.
It’s no secret that recent weeks have been heavily linked with a move for Julian Alvarez since news broke that Spanish giants Atletico Madrid would be open to letting the small striker leave the club during the summer transfer window.
However – ARSENAL are not the only club interested in a move for Alvarez at the end of the season, as there are also many more media reports claiming that Chelsea are actually in the chase to sign the forward for a fee of £82 million.
But now, according to TEAMtalk and journalist Graeme Bailey, Arsenal are already ‘in talks’ with Alvarez over a transfer and Andrea Berta is also ‘ready to move quickly’ for the player, if he is really encouraged that his favored move to Barcelona is no longer possible.
Alvarez has become increasingly disillusioned with life in the Spanish capital in recent months, prompting his camp to actively explore alternative destinations.
Amid all the speculation and rumors surrounding the rush hour, Speaking about the new edition of Inside Track podcast from Football InsiderEx-Everton and Aston Villa chief executive Keith Wyness believes the striker would be worth the high fee Arsenal would have to pay for him.
He told Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast: “Yes, look, I know Julian Alvarez is very highly rated at Atletico Madrid.
“Everyone loves him, and he saved them in a lot of ways. Some big games. He’s a great player. If he were to come back, I think it would be a big move, but definitely worth it.”
“He’s good quality and I think he would fit in really well with them. But yes, he’s very highly rated, and it wouldn’t be cheap, but I think he’ll want to come back to Britain and I think he’ll set the Premier League on fire again, and I think that’s even more the case now that he’s had this spell at Atletico where he’s really made a big impact.”
