NBCC shares focus on securing projects worth Rs 289 crore from NALCO, SAIL Bokaro

Shares of NBCC (India) Ltd are expected to remain in focus on Friday, December 12, following the company’s announcement that it has been awarded two project management consultancy contracts with a combined value of around Rs 289.39 crore from NALCO and SAIL Bokaro.According to the company’s disclosure to the stock exchanges, this is the first contract awarded by NALCO (National Aluminum Company Limited) for a range of civil and infrastructure related development works.

The scope of work includes the planning, design and execution of various civil, electrical, water supply and horticultural works, in addition to the construction and repair of RCC structures, decommissioning of existing buildings and new construction activities.Sensex, Nifty Today: Watch all the LIVE stock market action here

The contract also covers public facilities and other related development works at NALCO’s office and municipality (S).

The estimated value of this contract is Rs 255.50 crore, and the nature of the assignment is classified as a domestic project management consultancy assignment.

The second contract has been awarded by SAIL Bokaro for the desilting of Cooling Pond #1 (hot and cold water chambers). This also falls under the category of project management advice and is domestic in nature. The value of this order is approximately Rs 33.89 crore, as per the regulatory filing.

Both contracts are classified as domestic assignments and NBCC will assume the role of project management consultant for the execution of the respective work areas.

On Thursday, NBCC shares closed 1.6% higher at Rs 108.35 on the BSE.
