Clayton Kershaw could be on his way from a hill to a microphone.
NBC is reportedly eyeing the future Hall of Famer for a studio analyst role as it gears up to broadcast MLB games in 2026.
According to The AthleticKershaw, 37, is actually “a top” target for NBC. The outlet added that the pitcher, who retired after the 2025 season, is being looked at for “selective events” this upcoming season.
NBC will show ‘Sunday Night Baseball’ in ’26 as part of the new deal with MLB. The first round of the league’s postseason is also scheduled to air.
Kershaw has spent the past 18 years pitching for the Dodgers while compiling one of the best sports resumes ever.
He finished with a 223-96 record, three Cy Youngs, three World Series rings, a 2.53 ERA and 3,052 strikeouts.
In November, Kershaw told the media at the Dodgers’ championship parade that he wasn’t quite sure how he was going to spend his days with his playing career now in the rearview mirror.

“I honestly have no idea,” he said. “I’m following the plan without a plan. I really don’t know what the next year, two years, five years looks like. It’s a little scary, but it’s also a good thing.”
In addition to Kershaw, The Athletic reported that former Reds star Joey Votto is also being targeted by networks for a potential analyst role next season.
