Marcus Morris Sr. said he was behind bars for 51 hours and did not get any food or water after his arrest on Sunday.
The 13-year-old NBA veteran and ESPN analyst were arrested for a crime accusation of fraud for accusations that he wrote $ 260,000 in bad checks to cover gambling markers at two casinos in Las Vegas.
In a long message that was posted on Instagram on Tuesday, Morris explained that “no mistakes [were made] On my behalf ”and a misunderstanding took place after he had achieved a marker to gamble in Las Vegas.
“Did I hit a marker to gamble? Yes,” wrote Morris, 35, wrote. “Was this my first time, no. I’ve been enjoying my off time and doy what I like every year point in Vegas at a high level for years and that’s note just gambling. I really thought the amount of money, soer I spent there Time to pay back the money that could of leg [handled] On the spot if I knew that it would have been locked up as if I was trying to flee or a escape risk. “

Morris further explained that he was upset to be painted to “look like a criminal over a few hundred” dollars.
“So I went beyond the time I had to pay back, yes I probably did that. I knew they would lock me up (sic) Hellllll no,” he added, with a few crying smiling emojis.
Morris appeared during a hearing on Tuesday in Broward County, where a judge denied his motion for band and said she would only release Morris to the authorities of Nevada for extradition – or if the warrants that were published for his arrest were withdrawn, According to TMZ.
His twin brother, former NBA champion Marketf Morris, attended the hearing and he denied the claim of the fraud in a position on X.
Morris’s next judicial date has been established for the end of August.
“Say what you want, but fraud will never be anything I am off or waste my time,” Morris, an ex-Knick, wrote In his caption. “Those coins do not change any lifestyles on this side. This won’t be long. No errors on me just didn’t think that was possible. Learn a dissolved (sic).
“But to sit for 51 hours, no bail and not even a chance to pay it back until after 2 days was over, the outs pocket. 24 hours Lockdown was not food or water for the entire 51 hours. That is the part that hurt me the most. I placed my time sources in my life, but to be treated in that way, did something for me.
“I have been enjoying myself in Vegas Plus at a high level for 10 years and not only gambling when you know us. So take how you want it. The only thing I look back at my children and family and friends who know that I am like a man who came out of nothing. Never been a fraud.
“You can’t spend markings outside the casino. No money has been exchanged or taken out of a casino and in my pocket. You spend that money there if you don’t know how it works. Last thing I never wrote a check at any time to a casino. If you get a marker who didn’t know a check. The one in my corner I am and who I am.
Morris added that he and Marketf “will treat this live on camera” on Wednesday.
Morris’ Agent, Yony Noy, publicly denied the claim of fraud.
“So that everyone understands that this zero fraud has been said here or whatever nonsense with regard to fake checks or whatever,” Noy wrote to X on Sunday. “This is due to an excellent marker with a casino. Apparently, if you have more than $ 1,200, they can give an order for your arrest. Absolute insanity!”
